[ 2.0 ] Vaal Pact Dual Claw Build Level 92 ( Atziri Viable + BOTW S: 2 EP: 9 )
" Cheers for the heads up but I have changed it.. You should be able to see :) |

so I thought about this for a while,
so the weakness of an evasion build is that when you DO get hit, you get hit like a truck right? Mind over matter is very close by and we have very good mana sustain with Mind Drinker and other mana leech.. would it be viable to take that? |

" At the moment I am using Blind (totem), Enfeeblement, dodge, evasion and blocks. If anything gets though it has be a critical hit (3 to 4k damage) before I even bother to use my Flask and by the time it gets the chance to hit me again generally it has a bad case of death :) On a Serious note no builds are completely indestructible but mine is a good balance between survivability and damage and if you play correctly the levelling isn't that hard. Its one of the few high dps builds that can actually take on physical and elemental reflect but yes hp is very important for this build because on those off chance you do get hit by a crit without good hp you will die instantly due to having no armour what so ever. I did use Mind over matter ages ago and I didn't rate it because you need loads of mana to make it useful and also if you don't have enough mana it completely drains it so you can't use your skill so I would not recommend this.. If you twreaked my build in other places, maybe as it stands with just adding mind over matter its a bit poo, lol |

I am here just to let you know, that my account has been hacked and my characters deleted so I am not going to play this build anymore. Makes me kinda sad, but I don't want to level the same build twice :) going to try my friends suggestion on this spectral throw build now.
I made it to level 86 and almost 87, I'd continue on, because it was still fun. I hope to see some more dual claw builds out there and once again, thanks for the build I've had a great time with it! kiwi nation

Hello ninedeadeyes.
First of all. Pretty nice build you wrote there. I am just leveling a shadow on this build and just got an idea I wanted to share with you and have some thoughts about it. (To be honest I didn't read through ALL the 16 pages so probably sb else asked this before) Why don't you use a Bringer of Rain as Helmet with Dual Strike-Multistrike-increased Critical dmg- increased Critical Strikes for Singletarget dmg. You would have faster attacks and melee physical dmg for free, which would it actually make a 6 linked. Then a Tabula Rasa as Body Armor with Frenzy-faster attacks-Multistrike-melee splash-cast on crit-Discharge. And probably sth like and extra Level 10 CoDT with Level 10 Enduring Cry. I'm pretty sure your endurance charges are discharged before the Enduring cry Immortal CwDT triggers but I hope it doesn't discharge the endurance charges that should actually be used for Immortal Call. This needs some experimenting. So all in all you would have 2x6 linkeds for about 4 Exa (3 for BoR and 1,5 for Tabula Rasa) Your Discharge would do high Dmg because it casts very often (you said you crit twice a second and attack 8 times a second, which would be discharging 8 frenzy charges per second (2 times 4 a second) and additionally some endurance charges. BUT you don´t do TOO high dmg, because you didn't stack any Spelldmg. So elemental reflect shouldn't bother you too much. IN ADDTION, your singletargetdmg would increase because of having an addtional gem slot which isn't necessary for melee splash anymore. For example increased critical strikes, which should increase your dmg in a decent way. The negative aspects are: -Lack of ress, because Geofris Crest got switched -No increased AoE because the Carcass Jack got switched (but i hope this isn't too much of a problem because you got Discharge then and still enough life leech because of frenzy (hopefully xD) OR you switch melee splash for a life leech gem... -probably lack of mana. Don't really know. You should still get enough Mana through mana leech (skilltree) and Frenzy All of this might be totally bullshit, because I'm not really a poe pro or sth like that, but maybe it brought a little smile on your face :) See ya Boomstick Last edited by Boomstick2010#2497 on Apr 27, 2014, 6:52:46 PM

" Thats really unlucky.. At least you were able to get past level 85 with my guide which is the point of this whole guide :) .. Good luck for the future and I keep your password secure !! |

" Hello !! Well I would instead of putting the critical damage gem use a 'faster attack gem' for your main dual strike ability That should increase your attack speed by quite a bit :) To be honest attack speed isn't that important and what is more important is physical damage :) Critical damage and critical chance are more end game passive nodes hence why I would recommend only investing in them a lot later in the game as my progression level section states. |

" Hello.. Well you can use bringer of rain but I think it is over priced for what you are getting as well as the nerf version of it has a very low physical damager and faster attack gem levels . The blind is ok but Tabula rasa is so much better beacause its only worth 2 or 3 ex as well as you can max out all your gems. ( lol.. You need to have a closer look at bringer of rain, You can't wear a body armour with it ) You will be spreading yourself to thin if you are using discharge as well. Most discharge builds is build around 'discharge' and nothing else. Any good build you will need to build around 1 aspect to min max the damage. I am not convince you will get much damage from discharge if you just add it to the build without changing anything else . You will also have issues with keeping immortal call up. The core survival mechanism of this build is physical damage leech hence discharge will be useless for it. Also unless you used the altered frenzy build then you will not get 8 frenzy charge since the main build don't use frenzy charge. What would work is if the primary focus of the build is 'Discharge' whilst using the dual strike as a secondary defence which is a completely different build from this one, lol. I dislike discharge builds because they suck with reflect damage. Hey you can always give it a go and see what happens, to be honest if you pick a discharge build that uses dual strike as a secondary attack I would not recommend following my guild :) Hey don't worry about it.. Every one new to the game doesn't know what they are doing. This is actually my second dual claw build since my first one I completely messed up because I went for crit much too early. The best place to learn is by playing and making mistakes but to be honest if you follow my guide there shouldn't be much of an issue since it has taken people up to level 87 so far :) |
