HC Feedback

A friend of mine think pretty much like Shagsbeard which led him to quit PoE multiple times since Closed Beta. He hate the fact that you have to take advantage of everything to success and the fact that this game looks designed around that mentality. I guess this is why they call this game hardcore. In the end, you aren't doing what you really want to do because you feel forced to "take advantage", otherwise you miss out on things like success.

The number of people playing HC is an indicator that the game isn't being designed in a way that makes that mode of play enjoyable

That's not true at all. Before 4 month leagues it was a thriving league to play in. The reason it doesn't retain players like standard is quite simple. Hardcore players don't mind rerolling and are likely the most dedicated players PoE has so they're hugely incentivized to play the new league.

Standard players will always improve their characters as they play more while HC characters can die anytime so they might as well play in one of the fresh new leagues with new ideas implemented in them.
