So 50 vaal orbs granted you multiple 6links? Pretty good if you ask me. If you use it on white armor can you craft 6links that way? Does it make it rare?

That is what I want to know. Were those armours 6L before corruption? Were those armours white or rare befor corruption?

very first vaal orb i used when i was figuring out how to get more sockets for my templar summoner on ambush:




it was just a rare 4 socket no-link armor. only mod i lost in the corruption process was 35 str. the socket colors are even close to what i need for my spectres.

It's not super rare. There has been many documented 6 links that resulted from corrupting

yeah not being able to change socket colors to what you need is a big trade-off. it'd make sense that it's not that rare

I'm scared to Yolo but I need to Divine 1st anyways.

Can +1 to levels of gems roll in a helm I wonder? My fear is that it un-links and gets less sockets.

If you can craft 6-links then Vaal orb will always be able to be converted into divine orb (by vendoring) which is good for self found players.

From this results what i can gather is:
You either get white socket(s) or a new implicit, you never get the 2 at the same time.

Also, can you give details about
1. items who lost 5/6l ?
2. the other way around if there are any.

Vaal orbs can in fact increase the number of links/sockets, for uniques turning into rares anyways. I have not yet seen a 4link rare being corrupted into a 5l/6l.
