[1-2.0] CoC Sci/Sha/Ran/Due with Block - Song of Ice and Fire. Cheap. Fun. Nerfed
" Is Rat's nest still best in your opinion or does Three Dragons beat it out. I was just wondering because I feel you lose a lot of defense with 3Dragons. I often find my CoC procing in such a way that even if my freeze isn't for very long that it's interrupting casts/jumps and to a lesser degree the ability to kite in smaller areas cause of the chilled. Which is super helpful defensively. With 3Dragons you lose the chill effect which is a slight bummer, but i'm guessing the freezing part still happens pretty regularly. -Bilo

" I've never had much of both currency and time to play. I've only tried Atziri once with RF build and failed.
My current gear (total of 4-5 ex spent)
Current tree Atziri's Foible is to be eventually replaced with 4% block Stone of Lazhwar resulting in max spell block even if attack block is not maxed. I also wanna corrupt Rathpith :) Rare items I have can all be upgraded, STR roll is a must to get rid of Foible, and 6L Coil is obviously better than 5L. Btw, is Coil a good choice for Atziri fight? Both good and bad thing is that I need everything: life, ES, evasion, mana, mana regen, resists, crit chance, crit multi, block, spell block, dodge, projectile speed, attack speed, spell damage, accuracy, STR, INT, flasks. The build is far from complete at my level 83. I'm running level 75 maps, not Atziri :) I hope this version is capable of farming her with proper level and gear. " Who knows. Never had both in the same league to compare: if I get one, I skip another to save currency. Currently Rat's Nest is off the question because I use Lightning Coil and need capped resists without Purity of Elements to have mana for MoM. With better resists on gear I may switch to Rat's Nest to increase crit chance, it's quite low and I'll have to get rid of more crit nodes if I am to have max block. " For the first question see above. Yes, I noticed lack of interruption too, it hurts. I don't miss freezes and chills much though, freezes were not too long and chills are still there from Arctic Breath's trail. You can't freeze without lightning damage with TTD, and dagger damage is far from enough. Last edited by SunnyRay#1519 on Sep 23, 2014, 3:47:35 PM

I think I'll try Atziri in 1 of the next couple days. My character looks like this atm:
Gear
Gems are a little mismatched in level because I've taken some from other characters. The gloves are just for leveling other gems atm since I'm not sure what I should put it them. Maybe Culling or Ice Spear-GMP-PCoC to generate Power Charges for that extra crit. As for Flasks, I'm not totally sure what the optimal thing to go for is, but 2 Seething Flasks works alright for me, although they both should be Eternal Flask for that. The Diamond Flask is amazing for bosses, makes them melt so fast together with Ele Weakness. The Sapphire Flask changes to Topaz, Ruby or Amethyst depending on map. I've got the TTD which I tried swapping in while doing an Elemental Weakness Map. The reduction is attack speed was very noticeable, but regarding the DPS, I honestly couldn't tell you if one is better than the other. Anything that isn't a boss dies instanly with either helmet, and boss fights differ every time, so couldn't tell much there either. Will try it out some more. Skill Tree |

" ST-GMP-PCoC-LGoH can be used for heal and charges. Why eternal? Seething Divine is better than Seething Eternal, same as it was with hallowed and sanctified. Good luck with Atziri. Can you record a video? Last edited by SunnyRay#1519 on Sep 24, 2014, 4:29:40 AM

I tried ST-GMP-PCoC-LGoH at the Docks. It seems to work pretty well, so I'll be using that.
You're right, I meant to write Divine flask, don't know why I got them mixed up there. I'll try to record though I don't know if it'll turn out well. I got the last of the Sacrifice pieces today, but I think I will wait until friday where I have some more time. That'll also give me some time to get another lvl and perhaps find some small gear upgrades if possible. What do you think of using either the cold of fire version of Doriany's Invitation? |

Video would be very interesting no matter the outcome. If not successful, it can be used to find out problematic areas and brainstorm a new strategy or build variation.
Someone tried cold Doriany's Invitation in 1.1, there is a post about it somewhere in the thread. 1% leech turned out to be surprisingly sufficient, and flask freezes were better than expected too. But it lacks life. |

So I tried it. I did quite poorly honestly lol. Well, I'll see if I can upload the video. I missed the first boss fight against double Vaal because I forgot to turn the recording on, but it was quite uneventful. Killed them without much trouble, but then again, they're the easy ones.
I also brought a bunch of things with me in my inventory because I wasn't sure if I would need anything. I realised I'm not utilizing my flasks very well and my kiting could use a lot of work. With that said, I think I would do a lot better on a 2nd try. This was my first time trying Atziri so I wasn't quite sure how it would work out. Especially the fight against those 3 mini bosses, they did a lot of things I didn't realise they were going to do. All in all, the build did a lot better than I thought it would. Leading up to opening the map, I was starting to think I wouldn't stand a chance without spell block, but it might not be as needed after all. "Youtube says: "This video is private. Sorry about that." |

I think it should work now.

Grats on the first Atziri kill!
What killed you at 9:14? Adding video link to the OP, may replace it with a different Atziri video later. Last edited by SunnyRay#1519 on Sep 27, 2014, 12:00:11 PM
