[1.2.0] Rampage/Beyond - Exiled Fiery Dragons (self-found / newbie friendly / hc tested)
Amazing build, well-explained, congratulations to the creator!
Very easy to make, had a nice experience with it :D Just finished normal, after killing dominus. When on cruel, fought one of these crab invaders, and I was stepping over 30+ zombies bodies (plus the mini crabs) and it all happened faster than a blink of an eye... RIP LVL 40 But I can say, it's my 2nd character AND instead of being mad at life (i can't deny i got a lil pissed of), I feel like these deaths improve my gameplay even more. Life experience achieved: NEVER STAY OVER BODIES NEAR THAT CRAB (srsly that amount of bodies almost exploded my pc) THAT'S IT Now going to the third character and i'll look for some other build, if i dont find something more attractive imma stick to this one. Thanks |

Problem Cant maintain perma AA |

Thanks for the build.
I had a lot of fun playing it, until my guy level 57 died against Dominus in Cruel, in solo, because of the "bleeding" effect (I had one bleeding/heal flask, but after it got empty, the blood rain was still out there, so...) + his minions. Really tough one this Dominus, even in Normal and in a 6 player party I almost died. Anyway, great game, great build, only thing that surprised me is that every time the build creator put the pics of his stuff at the end of each act, there was never "chaos resistances", only elemental res. How do you manage to survive without stuff that gives you chaos res ? If I am to do this build again, I'll try to take the Ancestral Bond as requested in the build, and the "Elderitch battery". I didn't pick the second totem because I was afraid to get a little bit bored if I couldn't cast a few spell like Flameblast (but it seems much safer to play with 2 totems), and I didn't take EB because my stuff was based more on armor than armor+energy shield.I might even try to get the MoM skill, it might be safer. Anyhow, thanks again ! Last edited by Ghorghorexp#5523 on Jun 25, 2014, 12:48:44 PM

" Bleed/insta flasks are mandatory for finishing cruel, at least one of each to be safe. As for the chaos res, I forgot to add that part... generally it's. Normal difficulty, disregard. Cruel Difficulty disregard, and get one for the Weaver. Merciless try to get it to 30% or 20% or as high as you can while maxing others out. As for the routes... I suggest going normal route that heads to shadow... then farm for Cloak of Defiance, for me it's by far best option, and many others that got it confirmed it as well. " Thing is, you're not looking for mana on gear really as much as you're looking for Mana regen... you get mana from discipline/ES. So your gear has no mana regen while for example I have mana regen on ammulet/both rings and chest... also mana regen can roll on wand/shield as well, so there's that. With those... it's really easy to maintain high level AA. Hope that helps. Have fun! " Glad it worked out for you! Regards, GoranH. " Hmmm if I'm not mistaken, spell dmg directly affects spells cast by totems... and totem dmg increases total dmg (from spelldmg/cast speed etc)... so there's probably a point where one will be better than the other... unfortunatelly I don't have regret orbs to do the testing, gave away most of my gear/currency on invasion some time ago. :) If you do, feel free to test and report back! Have fun, GoranH. This is a great guide, thanks for sharing! It's gotten me up to Act3 Cruel without a hitch. The only thing I'm starting to struggle with now is poor mana regen, but within another couple levels I should reach EB and can start using Discipline so hopefully it won't be as problematic.
Thanks again for the guide - the details and explanations are incredibly useful! |

This build is a glass cannon, at least it is when I MF with a 5-link chest armor.
The largest downside is that you cannot take hits. I want to believe a MoM build is superior, but I havent tried it. You cannot always cast totems and take zero damage, for this reason I dont think this build works well in Maps, unless you can take or negate some damage enough to spam totems with dual curses. Any help to make this map viable? |

" You can take hits, AA helps there and high life pool. But hits generally hurt, physical ones, hence why I recommend a iron skin granite for when you are getting hit. Thing is, you arent supposed to be getting hit, I dont mean by that max dodge/block, but playstyle of staying back and let totem do the work and be the frontline meatshields. I did a lot 68/69s with my lvl 73 char... few 70s and one 74 map. So... Again I really think it comes down to playstyle. If you want help, post gear, stat screenshots and tree and Ill gladly help. If youre thinking of being tanky in MF gear, well... yeah. Regards, GoranH. P.S. If you want to be more tanky, rathpiths + strides + lahzar/anvil and some templar block nodes. Still think it comes down more to playstyle rather then anything else. To recap, cast/spam totems in front of you, and stay back. Warp away if neccesary. CWDT setup stops phys burst dmg enough for your reaction, and also can use blind (esp. with fast proj) on totem to make it a breeze. Watch the video for more info. " Always glad to help... and dont worry EB solves all mana problems. ;) [1.1.0] Invasion/Ambush - Exiled Fiery Dragons (self-found / newbie friendly / invasion tested) http://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/816814 Last edited by GoranH#3360 on Jul 2, 2014, 8:04:32 PM
