its not like anyone will dare corrupt a high roll leg 6l shav!!!

I'm too scared

You should talk to all those people who corrupted a legacy Kaom's (as well as the people who corrupted legacy Shav's, I believe there were some in this thread) before commenting on how people will never do it.

I like my balls more than a couple ex. It's just a game. Do one and have some fun.

Except that Kaoms are far more likely to have a positive outcome than shavs, considering the sockets and lack of intrinsic.

It's really not at all comparable.

Put quite simply, if nothing at all happens during corruption, you just lost your ability to chrome it. If nothing happens to the Kaoms, then it's still fine.

If you swap the intrinsic, you lose 10% spell damage, which means you need an intrinsic better than that, making it even harder. Kaoms doesn't have an intrinsic to lose - so again nothing lost.

Furthermore, that intrinsic needs to be so good as to justify the colors being locked.

It's easy to say "hurrr durr ppl already corrupted kaoms" - but not all items benefit the same from corruption.

If anything, I'd say it's pretty much not worth it to corrupt shavronne in particular because you need to land pretty much a perfect corruption. Something like +1 all gem levels.

I understand it's just a game, but people are corrupting Kaoms because there are actually decent odds to improve. With Shavs, for the above mentioned reasons, the odds are pretty much flipped. Nearly all outcomes will make Shavs worse.

If anything even if shavs did roll the near-impossible +1 skill gems, it might still be considered a WORSE item, because losing the ability to change the colors is just so crippling on a 6L. If it happened to roll a couple white sockets - it would still be worse.

You're essentially advocating that somebody ruin a legacy shavs for the fun of it.

In summary:

Using a Vaal Orb on a legacy Kaoms takes balls.

Using a Vaal Orb on a legacy Shavronne takes a huge amount of stupidity.

I hope you can see the difference.

Also funny how he made up his own word "intrinsic" when the rest of the world calls it "Implicit"
@TiKaD
I'm more amazed that a person was so insulted at having their balls disparaged that they wrote paragraphs of defense for their Balls in a joke thread about balls
