The first stage is that it ONLY corrupts the item, ''that's definitely considered a absolute failure'' I don't know about you but downgrading a unique, unlinking 6L, removes the 6S and rerolls the stats seems, just a tad bit more off a ''Absolute Failure'' than JUST corrupting it. No one could forsee that the vaal orbs could make a unique to a rare, delete all links and all sockets And re roll the stats. AT THE SAME TIME. That's just INSANE.
