WORLD FIRST USE of Vaal orb

Standard. This was my first Vaal-Orbing. It is the most perfect item imaginable for my build (a frenzy crit life-leech ranger). I had been asking 20ex for it in a small post with a buyout, now I realize I will NEVER sell it for half that cheap!... Because I rolled on this before I knew it could destroy uniques entirely. And I bet few people are risking their 10% carnage hearts considering this is one of the only ammy rolls that is decent that a Vaal Orb can give. Oh yeah, and 6% leech on regular ammy's got nerfed, amirite? Playing Sacrifice of the Vaal at launch was peak living.

I think they should rename the vaal orb the TROLL ORB

I have not seen that corrupted mod yet. I don't know if it scales in any way with gear or spec bonuses, or just how useful it is. Is a character that concerned with mana going to facetanking a lot of stuff? |

It clearly states in the patch notes to take caution.
Added a new currency item: Vaal Orb. It corrupts a target item, modifying it unpredictably. Once an item is corrupted, further currency cannot be applied to it. This includes restoring imprints. There are many possible outcomes of corruption, some of which may be undesirable. Consider its use carefully! What I do not understand is why not use it on a crappy unique before using it on a unique worth 50+ exalts? Just saying, thats what I would do..... If you take a risk.... IMO you shouldn't really complain about not getting a reward..... the whole idea of a risk is that in the end you might be worse off than when you started... just like gambling. I do feel for the people that lost precious items though... so I apologize for offending you with my post if I did, it was not my intention. i just wanted to explain my reasoning. I think the vaal orbs are an amazing addition.. I just don't think people have fully come to an understanding of exactly how to use them.... or rather the proper time to use them with the least risk versus reward.
