WORLD FIRST USE of Vaal orb

This display typical chracteristics of a confidence trick. People take action with incomplete informations motivated by a possible great outcome and lose everything in the process. Then random bystanders blame the victims instead of the perpretors. Except IRL the perpretors would financially benefit from the move and face the legal system, here it's just horrible publicity for them.

It's not the first time GGG had an horribly frustrating idea, so I'm grateful for the poor souls which took the risks in my place.

Well to be honest they already said the orb can reroll stats and do other crazy shit. It did in fact did crazy shit to your items, people just expected to be useless crazy shit as oppose to bricking your items.

They need to fine-tune your the downsides of the item so it's at least usable after your done with it.

That's especially vague informations though, rerolling stats can be interpreted as divining without further precisions. I was expecting myself only minor losses like losing one property or all quality on the item, losing all links or turning uniques to rares is just beyond anything I could have ever imagined.

Had a good before-bed-time laugh.

The tears feel so good.
This is awesome and hilarious. Not your reactions, people who lost items are right to be sad, but that can happen to early technology adopters =)

And, no, this doesn't make Vaal orbs useless. If you think they have no value, PM me and I'll give you an alt for each one you find. It seems like Vaal orbs are intended to encourage, on a whole, crafting from a base item rather than just eternaling and modding the same item over and over.
