You are crying for no reason, if the leech was not feasible for some buildings, they will make further modifications to improve, what is the problem in testing new functions? GGG does not want to restrict the game without options, in contrast, wants to increase. If this change in practice is bad, will improve again, means they have concerns about leaving the best and most balanced game. They do not want almost invincible builds.
Guides made by me:
Unnamed's CoC CI Discharge Trickster, Tankster BV MoM Poison, Saboquisitor MoM Pure Cold damage with Hrimburn, Trickster Critical Flameblast |

Yes, the legacy items market is totally unfair. I mean, think about it, all the people who are born today are at a serious disadvantage compared to those who are 50 years old. We need to get rid of the mechanics of inheritance, savings, education, writing, reading, storytelling. And god forbid anyone live in a place with a developed infrastructure, it is totally unfair.
Also. I think I’ll make a thread with the following content as well: “Magically cure all your desync problems! The chat command «/oos» will force your game to resync. Bind it to a mouse button (if you have a mouse with keys you can remap and put macros on, this is the way: ENTER / o o s ENTER For people who do not have macro mouse capability, you can just install a program called «AutoIt» and use a script with the function HotKeySet() to bind the same key sequence to a single button. I use it on my «back» mouse button and click it before and after every pack of mobs. Mice with more than three keys are very inexpensive, you are bound to find some, even the rubber ball mice could be still around if you are really on a budget, I see them on flea markets all the time.” Also. There never have been and never will be items obligatory for every build… Like Kaom’s Heart, which requires a certain amount of strength and is completely useless for, say, crit ice witch or claw spectral throw Shadow (okay, not completely useless, but not the best idea), or discharge templar. Also. Standard league is not competitive against other players… so… I don’t really care that there is someone around with a stash tab full of mirrors. Even if it was competitive, no one forces me to compete so I won’t because I do not feel like it. I just grind my way to that gg ES shield and hat because that is what my build (which I created by myself not without inspiration from other builds) requires to solo 70+ maps in a party with 5 toons (to get more awesome loot). So… really for some people (like me) no one is “ahead” because there is no such place as “ahead”. Sure, some people have stuff I want and don’t have. I got pretty used to this in the past 26 years of my life, and I’m pretty sure that’s a natural state of things for any sentient being who is capable of wanting anything. Also. I don’t care that you didn’t read this, or are reading this and not interested, or disagree, or feel like you have to convince me of abandoning my ways or changing point of view. Well, I do care, in fact. I care enough that I wrote this all down just for you, the reader. Personally. Honestly. I’m not asking someone to “stop whining” or “QQ” or something like. Not even convincing. I just wanted to vent by expressing my POV. It’s a response. There is no convincing, no asking, no telling, no strings attached. Take it, leave it, read it, do whatever you will. Your call. Thing is… I just like to talk, like to express my view, like to get other people’s view. That is precisely why I read a few hundred responses in this topic. Me personally, I can’t afford to trade due to the time it takes, and I do not fancy 4-month leagues because during all my time with POE I got two characters to 70+ and not one 80+ yet. That’s been over a year. Moreso, the second character is a remake of the first character in a different gender, because I rebuilt my witch build in shadow — I am a dude, and I thought it was more fitting to play a male character. I just work and do other stuff, like tend around the house and support my hobbies, and live with my family too much to play hardcore or be online for days just selling stuff. I probably vendor off things for alteration shards that full time traders can get a fusing or two out of and I have no regrets about it. I know that unless I get gg I do not want to invest the time it takes. At the same time I like playing the game. I like playing games, but virtually all other games in the ARPG and MMORPG genre I dislike. Diablo 3 looks like a bad cartoon drawn by a psychedelic retard. WOW the same. Lineage 2 looks like some pervert’s sick fantasy. Ragnarock like a bad joke. Etc, etc, etc… Maybe someone will be interested, maybe someone will disagree. Maybe someone will converse, maybe not. If you don’t care about any of what you just read and think you wasted your time, see you later, maybe we can do some maps instead. ————————————————————————————————————————————————— Okay, fine, real question. So why exactly ditch IIQ gem? I haven’t used one yet, and I may have a few lying around. But… why? I do not think it is affecting balance or anything. Does not seem to make anyone OP. Maybe makes spells a bit more expensive reducing that dps/mana ratio. I just don’t get it. Last edited by KYKYLLIKA#2389 on Mar 5, 2014, 4:14:16 PM

Super not excited about the changes. I've spent hours today (since I found that poebuilder had the tree) going over my build. The closest approximation I can come up with:
OLD BUILD Summary Effective health 192% increased maximum life 40% increased maximum energy shield* Keystones Iron Grip Resolute Technique Unwavering Stance Passive skill tree breakdown Health 192% increased maximum Life 66 to maximum Life 34% increased maximum Energy Shield 2% of Physical Attack Damage Leeched as Life Mitigation 162% increased Armour 24% increased Evasion Rating and Armour 18% to all Elemental Resistances Damage 184% increased Physical Damage with Maces 58% increased Attack Speed 55% increased Physical Damage with Two Handed Melee Weapons 26% increased Projectile Damage 20% increased Accuracy Rating with Two Handed Melee Weapons 12% increased Attack Speed with Maces 12% increased Physical Damage 10% increased Accuracy Rating 6% increased Movement Speed 6% increased Cast Speed 2% of Physical Attack Damage Leeched as Mana Other 290 to Strength 110 to Dexterity 30 to Intelligence 16 to maximum Mana 15% increased Stun Duration with Two Handed Melee Weapons on enemies 10% increased Light Radius 10% reduced Enemy Stun Threshold with Maces New Build Summary Effective health 160% increased maximum life 38% increased maximum energy shield Keystones Iron Grip Resolute Technique Unwavering Stance Passive skill tree breakdown Health 160% increased maximum Life 96 to maximum Life 34% increased maximum Energy Shield 2% of Physical Attack Damage Leeched as Life 1.5% of Life Regenerated per Second 0.2% of maximum Life Regenerated per second per Endurance Charge Mitigation 90% increased Armour 24% increased Evasion Rating and Armour 18% to all Elemental Resistances Damage 152% increased Physical Damage with Maces 58% increased Attack Speed 40% increased Physical Damage with Two Handed Melee Weapons 26% increased Projectile Damage 12% increased Physical Damage 10% increased Accuracy Rating 6% increased Movement Speed 6% increased Cast Speed 2% of Physical Attack Damage Leeched as Mana Other 330 to Strength 110 to Dexterity 26% reduced Enemy Stun Threshold with Maces 20 to Intelligence 16 to maximum Mana 15% increased Stun Duration with Two Handed Melee Weapons on enemies 10% increased Light Radius 1 Maximum Endurance Charge I lose 30% health, and 47% Damage, and 72% armor, and a TON of attack Speed. I have been pounding my head against this, and I just can't make it work. Awesome. Level 83, and it doesn't matter. I lose. Thanks for the shove to a new league. Would have rather had the choice whether or not I wanted to try, or if I wanted to play my character I had. God at this point, I don't even want to look at the builds for my other mapping characters. " Holy Strength is an alternative for the now pretty weak life wheel points. Then elemental adaptations is an option. Btw I saw the small points. But I calculated my gear to the limit so I use only one Fire Resistance node and get all my resis from gear so I can use maximum advantage of skillpoints. Therefore moving the +1 points there is lost for me, especially when it means that the +15% went down to +8 and the 1%max. +8 is not really appealing. Seems to be alot of math upcomming. But anyway with the new functionality of leech all is in vain. |
