There's an updated tree near the top of the post. He left it there since it's just a draft tree. I think he's working on updating a different build mostly now.

DPS comes from the fire nodes and ele proliferation; set them on fire and normal/blue mobs burn real good. I'm still using flameblast on solo bosses though.

The zombies/decoy totem are supposed to hold them in place long enough to burn with immortal call for when you're taking lots of damage. I don't have any CWDTs yet, so I'm not sure how well that's going to work.

It looks cool! How about link both DD and Desecrate with Spell Totem? It can solve the problem with reflect and it will auto aim for you too. But sound like the 50% less damage does hurt. Will totem damage boost the damage? If so, it may be a nice choice. (At least we can link Desecrate with Spell Totem to save our cast time.)

hm, so when I'll take all nodes I'll reach max damage? No any items will not grow dps?

Running maps right now and the damage is absurd

You need to take all the fire damage and burn nodes, that will give us 200% increased fire and 80% burn. On top of that we have increased fire damage (i've got 26% from weapon and 10% from amulet). Then we have fire penetration and flammability to punch through resists. And on rime gaze for lvl 15 concentrated effect. Thats what puts the build over the top. You don't need a perfect rolls one. The gem effect is most important part. This boosts damage absurdly high. Gets you up to 85% of corpse HP as damage, and if you ignite, its even more.

Defense, its a little soft. You need at least the two CWDT with enduring cry/immortal call. Frost wall is great in chokepoints. But if you are having trouble with dps either your desecrate is underleveled or you didnt take the fire damage nodes. Oh and dont level with detonate dead, level with searing bond/flameblast

Im 68 right now and 66/67 maps are a joke. Like if im soloing, ill kill the unique with like 4 corpses, less if blue. A rare corpse will likely be a one shotter.
I'm lvl 57 and I've got all the burn on the top of the tree. Getting all the Marauder cluster will take to 65 assuming I don't respec anything; I'll be able to pull one or two points back though.

I might get Life leech and Vaal Pact if I ever feel like Reflect is really annoying, or if I get enough mana I'm just 2 points away from Mind over matter.

Repurposed my shadow into this build, and it was extremely squishy to physical damage towards the end of merciless, but getting some better mana regen on my gear and another CWDT set with frost wall and immortal call really helped.
