absolutely.

In my gear requirements section, I said that the soultaker is purely for the mana-free feature. The crappiest rolled soultaker will be no different than the best soultaker because Reave only works with swords. As such, as long as your mainhand is a good sword, you're fine.

Secondly, the knockback does not depend on gear. Only on the gem.
What synergizes directly with the knockback is attack speed. Nothing else matters because your goal is to keep enemies from closing in on you.

Minimum attack speed is 8.0 APS. Ideally, with multistrike, you should be at 10.0+ APS.
At 12.0+ APS, nothing touches you ever. That is the beauty of reave.

Now, what GG gear lets you do is be more tanky, so maybe instead of the life leech gem, you can go for another damage gem. Hell, you might even be able to get concentrated effect or crit damage instead of increased AOE if you're tankier than me.

with that said, i was in standard league still. most children don't appreciate ingenuity.
