is the damage boost from headhunter necessary or just a nice to have?

Does this build still work after 1.1 or is it too vulnerable to reflect now that Vaal Pact got moved and nerfed? I've been using Flameblast instead of Discharge because I'm so scared of reflect. Anyone have an update on this?
