How to rock HC Merciless with 50 dps!

As my first melee HC sweeper marauder died, I decided to do something different. Basically I rolled an Explosive Arrow/Poison Arrow Marauder and it's been working wonders so far. Level 55 Hardcore at the moment, farming better gear to continue safely.

Endgame build:




This is my build right now:



I've just been massing life nodes really, and focusing damage and aoe little bit later.

Skills I'd like to use endgame:

Explosive Arrow w/ Lesser multiple projectiles, Life on hit, Chance to ignite, (Concentrated effect, Increased aoe)
Poison Arrow w/ Lesser multiple projectiles, Fork
Bear Trap x2 w/ Added fire damage
Flame Totem w/ Lesser multiple projectiles, (Knockback, Chance to flee)
Molten Shell w/ Increased duration
Grace
Flammability


Why this build you might ask? All the skills really don't have anything to do with weapon damage at all. All I need is one unique bow that is going to solve all the problems this build has.

Since we are not focusing on attack damage, the quick attack speed of this weapon ensures we can get our stacks of Explosive Arrows to enemies as quickly as possible.

This build doesn't really need that much gear. I'm using just mass resist + life stuff without sockets even (haven't been able to find!)

Does Lava Lash not work with Projectiles?

I'm using a fairly similar build, but as a duelist.



As a duelist though, I have greater access to attack speed nodes and Iron Reflexes, as well as a multitude of life nodes. I haven't tried out Explosive Arrow, however, and will definitely check it out.

Definitely worth checking out this build, rather than the ever so popular elemental builds

So for builds like this. Do you just sword n board till you find a viable bow, or do just use the best yellow bow as you level? thanks.

He uses Quill Rain, as damage completely DOES NOT AFFECT explosive arrow
BTW: Rumors says that Iron Grip now affect EA. If it's true...

Both Lava Lash and Catalise affect weapon damage. Explosion have not 'weapon' tag.

You don't get access to that bow until the 50's though, until that point what did he use? A bow or melee?

You can get this bow as fast as you buy it. It has 5th level requirement as far as i remember. This is core of the build, and playing without it have no sense.
