Need help with LA build. Mana and survivability issues.

I kill things really fast but even after speccing out of pure evasion and into armour I still am really squishy. I also have 88 mana and even with 4% mana leech and berek's grip I still seem to have mana issues. I feel like my dps is suffering when I am occasionally casting my regular attack in between arrow volleys. I need some recommendations. My plan with my passive tree is to spec out of the life and str nodes up by the witch tree, pick up 2 +30 str nodes and use the rest of the points to head towards the duelist HP and resist cluster. Problem is I thought that speccing out of Acrobatics and into IR and getting an alpha's howl to run grace in addition to hatred would improve my survivability but it only allowed me to cast CwDT more often and created mana issues.

Im going to switch to this glove to get more mana and probably update my chest, amulet, and maybe switch out berek's grip for a ring with mana more life and resists. Any feedback from people who have done similar builds and have fixed problems with squishyness and mana would be really great! Thanks!

I wish there were some way to get Mana Flows cause that would help a great deal. The problem with my tree is that I seem to be hogtied to getting certain clusters for my build. I want to finish out the crit cluster up to the notable in the shadow tree and i want to fill out the bottom side of the duelist tree as long as i am going Iron Reflexes. Going back to acrobatics might help with reflect and with the passive skill point problem seeing as i wouldnt be going into the duelist side and taking all the +10 nodes. The thing with acrobatics was that I could easily fight Dominus but I would die instantly to Undying Evangelists or some other non projectile spell based monster in seconds.

I will try switching out Berek's Grip for a ring with life, mana, mana regen, and hopefully all resist, and then by taking the Duelist resistance node I can free up my amulet from resists to maybe get more mana. After that a good 5 link chest with 1500+EV and maybe more chaos resist to mitigate the Blood Rage dmg might help. I just didn't think this build was going to turn so gear dependent.

Ok mana issues are fixed for now. I still am super squishy. I have 3800 life and 5500 armor. I could save up for a chest with like 1500 to 2000 armor but this just seems like a weird amount of squish for a character with those stats? Should i spec back into Evasion? I'm kind of at a loss as to what to do from here.

Hey I have almost exactly same build and same problems :) How do you fixed mana problem? with mana regeneration jewelry? DO you have problem with resists? cos its making me mad... I heard LA is very difficult. I started as Rain of arrows and decided to switch to Lighting arrow after i tried it.. but this is where I stuck... I guess you need to perfect your gear to make it work. Trying to buy good resist gear but it looks like its very pricy and I don't have that much exalts lol

I fixed my mana (sort of) by having mana on my gear. I'm at 108 mana now which is better than 88 i guess. Also having 2 surgeons mana flasks and 2 surgeons hybrid flasks helps. Unlike me your survivability issues stem from not having life on any piece of gear except your chest. You probably need to cap your resists too.

My problems seem to lie with having decent armour but no other form of defense. I thought that the 6% life leech from blood rage would be enough and the % life regen from blood dance would counter the degen well enough. Maybe I just need more evasion and chaos resist on my chest but im pretty much ready to give up on this character. I have spent many exalts on this character and while it clears this pretty fast it just dies at the drop of a hat. If anyone has played a build like this before and has any suggestions for survivability go ahead. Maybe switch back to EV? Idk. I could tank dominus pretty easily with EV but undying evangelists would kill me in 2 hits. For once I don't know the answer but I'm afraid it's just going to be me having to spend more exalts on gear :P.

the thing with LA/frenzy build is that you don't really use LA or frenzy while leveling

You start using them once you get blood magic or sufficient mana/mana regen/int on gear

For leveling you use other effective skills like RoA/Burning Arrow/Split Arrow or less mana demanding

LA only starts to get effective once you get Blood magic or a 5L because you need LA-LGOH-LMP-Chain-Blood magic combo for that spell to work the best

And frenzy isn't used for Single target until much later because it's mana cost is crazy, Burning Arrow is your go to leveling single target skill

Well my mana isn't really an issue anymore. And im not leveling, im lvl 74 now. Also I do have a 5 link and i switch out WED for LL for reflect maps and half or no regen maps. The issue for me is that I just feel really squishy. When I am actively leeching life from blood rage it feels ok but I still see my health in the red way more than I am comfortable with. My main concern now is how to fix that problem. I see a couple solutions: Getting way more armor somehow (better EV on chest) or switching back to Acrobatics.
