This build makes use of the latest unique introduced in 1.0.5:



Amazing unique for this build and many others.


Passive Tree: No Crit Nodes. Spec Increased Elemental Damage, Increased Spell Damage and Increased Radius of Skills. Only 1 point away from Unwavering Stance, 2 points away from Resolute Technique, and 4 points away from Conduit.

Stats with Passive Tree:

- 6 Power Charges
- 6 Endurance Charges
- 5 Frenzy Charges
- +26 Resistance to All Elements
- 3% Increased Spell Damage Per Power Charge
- 20% Increased Area Damage
- 40% Increased Radius of Area Skills
- 44% Increased Spell Damage
- 41% Increased Elemental Damage
- 20% Increased Elemental Damage with Spells



This build uses Shavronnes's Wrappings(no need for legacy) for Pain Attunement, good thing is you only need a 4L. Stack Spell Damage instead of Crit Chance on your gear, so on your items like Shield you stack Spell Damage. For weapon you prolly will want to utilize Void Battery. Or you could even Dual Wield Void Battery for more DPS.

So basically you get a 2L Setup with Frenzy-Faster Attacks, and this will be your main trigger skill to rack up the Frenzy and Power Charges.

With this ring, every strike will grant you a Frenzy and Power Charge. If you are not RT, sometimes you accidentally crit and you lose Power Charges, but that doesn't happen that frequently since you don't spec for Crit at all.

So in maps, go to pack of mobs. Firstly, use Enduring Cry to rack up your Charges for the first pack of mobs, since for subsequent packs, Voll's Devotion would mean that you prolly have Max Endurance Charges already. Start your Frenzy, with Faster Attacks you pretty much gain the Frenzy and Power Charges in a matter of seconds, after which you manually Discharge. Rinse and repeat.

Other then the Shavronne's Wrapping, gearing will not be that costly since you only need to stack Spell Damage. For the passive tree, spec for Increased Radius Nodes and Increased Elemental Damage instead of the usual Critical Nodes.

Well, this build is very flexible in terms of item choices.

Helm:



You will want to get a 300-400 ES Rare Hubris Circlet with nice res and accuracy rating if possible.

Chest:



Pretty much best in slot still. Let's you run 3 auras. And Pain Attunement, of course. 6L not needed though.

Weapon:



Best in slot. Try to get one with the lowest Critical Chance roll possible.

Shield/Offhand:



This shield would be the best shield for this build. Don't go for shields with Increased Critical Chance for Spells mod. Or you could go for dual-wield Void Battery. Or you could even go for a Prismatic Eclipse with G-G-G for the 2L Frenzy-Faster Attacks and gain the Global Increased IAS from 3 green sockets.

Amulet:



Nuff said. BIS.

Rings:




Both rings are required. Try to blessed Romira's to get the lowest implicit Critical Chance roll possible.

Gloves:



Yellow gloves with Accuracy and ES is good for this build.

Belts:



ES and Res all you need.

109 points (three less than in OP), but doesn't have RT (2 points away) and you pass right next to Unwavering Stance, in case you need it.

Why use Frenzy+Faster Attacks when you can just use Blood Rage:)


With Shavs...you'll have low life so the degen will be low...and it will go to your ES.

Blood Rage gives a frenzy charge on kill.
Frenzy gives a frenzy charge on hit.

With Frenzy you'll build up your charges much faster, unless you get a kill each time you hit, of course.

Could use some testing, I think.

why not go for crit chance and get powercharges with incinerate (it cant crit)?

This build utilizes all 3 types of charges for manual Discharge. Main idea of this build is that you generate Frenzy and Power Charges by only using 1 skill, which is Frenzy supported by Faster Attacks.

Thanks for answering Epilson, indeed that is what I would have said :)

Personally I wouldn't run Blood Rage unless I have enough regen or Chaos Res on gear.

For testing purposes, I preferred to have RT just 1 point away. I'll adapt my tree to yours, thanks.

Also, for those who want to go DPS as well as support, Conduit is just 4 points away.

You could, if disgustingly rich, go with Ming's Heart instead of Dream Frags and use Auxium for anti-Freeze, and then [most likely] not even need Frenzy anymore. As you'd just use Blood Rage instead.

Or you could drop some ES, and go with Blood Dance, which would also give you some Regen.

Frenzy is really not fun for getting Charges for Discharge. It's a surefire way to get yourself killed, trying to melee as a squishy CI Discharger.

Ye, but its difficult to keep Frenzy charges up permanently in large maps. There comes a time where you have to build up the relevant charges to kill before racking up the Frenzy charges if relying solely on Blood Rage.

You just need to pop Granite flask while racking up the charges in melee range, no serious issue really.

Again, the main idea of this build is to use Frenzy to rack up both Frenzy and Power Charges together.

Dream Fragments also gives max mana and mana regeneration, which is useful for manual Dischargers.
