1.3 [Newbie Friendly] GROUNDSLAMMER BUILD

Well here are my gear. Need suggestions about them

I found geofri is Best in Slot for resists. Also +1 level gems.
Weapon is should be 6L but this is best i can get so far and i calculated DPS and it gives more dmg then 583 DMG maruii maul.

Not sure about magnate. should i change it for 80-90 Life belt with 20 Chaos Resist or keep magnatE?

and looking for carnage heart amulet.. would it be good choice as amulet? %25 life reduce but %10 lifeleech and great all stats?
Squirrel is love, Squirrel is life.

No doubt this has been asked and answered but would Lava Lash add to Added Fire Damage?

Sure and so would catalyse (+50% total those 3 nodes) near templar health nodes if you move through that way there instead of str nodes.

But added damage to fire is kinda low in value compared to for example phys dmg %. Not to mention life leech works on phys damage so in that sense its also more lot more useful.

But it all adds up if you want just very high DPS on softcore rather than extreme carebear survival mode. So decide for yourself if its worth it.

We're told which Bandit rewards to take, but not which Bandits give those rewards...I know Oak gives the Life in Normal, who gives the Physical Damage in Cruel & the E-Charge in Merciless?!

Excellent guide, BTW.

EDIT: Finally found it. Oak gives all 3.

Hello
I really like your build but i need to ask because i think some things changed.
You said i should take "Melee Physical Damage" support gem, but know its called Melee Damage on Full Life"

Will this gem work with Blood Magic? Can u upload ur build? Because i dont know what gem should i take now..
You liked this:
http://en.pathofexilewiki.com/wiki/Melee_Physical_Damage

but it should be now:
http://en.pathofexilewiki.com/wiki/Melee_Damage_on_Full_Life

Can u explain me how it works now?
Is it worth to take this gem?

Some person said about this gem:
"If you have Blood magic, than you are constantly using your life for casting skills, so you won't be on full life."

Sooo?

This are two DIFFERENT gems!

There is still a "Melee Physical Damage" gem in this game!
There is a "Melee Damage on Full Life" gem, too, but you don't need this one.

You even linked both wiki-sites. So why do you think one of them doesn't exist anymore!?

Ok sorry then ;)
Im just 23lvl, as first took "life gain on hit" gem so i thought the next gem should be this what he wrote. I already took Added fire damage as a second support gem. I have no choice..

No harm done.

You need following support gems for "ground slam" and "heavy strike" each:
* 2x life gain on hit
* 2x melee physical damage
* 2x added fire
* 2x life leech
(level them if possible and replace "life gain on hit" as soon as you leech more than you gain on hit)
* 2x bloodmagic (optional for very late game)

I have:
- 1x added fire on "Heavy strike"
- 1x life gain on hit on "Sweap" - Ground slam isnt that good like Sweep i think.

Ground slam lvl 5, 16% increased physical dmg, 35% reduced enemy stun threshold and it works only in front of me

Sweep g, 7lvl, gives me 18% increased physical dmg, and 33% chance to knock enemies back on hit, and this is aoe, i can do a circle and attack all enemies around me, and it gives me more life gain on hit than Ground slam i think. Yea and sweep dont need that much mana.

PS.
Where will i be able to get melee physical damage?

And what means that leech?
It's life gain on hit? or its another gem?

There is "Life Gain on Hit" and there is "Life Leech".

You gain more life from "Life Gain on Hit" in early game but at approximately level 40-50 you gain more life from "Life Leech". It depends on the damage you deal with your skills. Just simple math.

I would recommend to quit using "Seep" because like you said you have to be surrounded to use this skill effectively. BUT you don't want to get surrounded in late game. So stop getting used to it!
Ground Slam does decent DPS, too and has the advantage of being ranged if needed.
