1.3 [Newbie Friendly] GROUNDSLAMMER BUILD

Thanks Thorien for the explanation.

Mainly i agree with you,but what i feel from Cruel till the end of act1 is that the nedirance charge is not need at all.

Grace can compansate well the missing endurance charges.

Thanks to a new friend from here :) i got a very good maul:

With this i can farm easily act1 on merc.

Also i have to chance my boots because somethimes the movement speed is missing.

Now i have to go to act2 but i hate the monkeys :)

Build up some life leech, from passive tree and from gear and put multistrike instead in that hammer. You'll love it, I guarantee.

Anyone have an idea what i could replace life leech with on heavy strike.
I've capped the life return rate without it.

Increased phys. damage, ofc. Oh one more thing, melee splash works great with h. strike too. Must have imho, if h.strike is your main attack. One short remark: although powerful, for me multistrike fares better in g.slam then in h.strike. Especially if combined with decoy or skellie totem, much safer way of playing then going into the fray.

Look at the helm carefully it already have Faster attack speed and melee physical

But yeah i tried melee splash but i just prefer to use ground slam.

So i have : Melee phys dmg, faster attack, blind, added fire, multistrike, added fire dmg,
and life leech

I want to replace life leech anyone have an idea?

Oh excuse my noobnes, didn't recognize mighty bringer of rain ^^

Well you have added cold, lightning and chaos damage which are nice but since they are not red gems, your advancement on those /gem power will be limited.

Other then that you have stun gem, but I'm not certain if it's worth it, weap. elemental damage which is mostly unsuited for our build, fire penetration gem, same thing ... Dominating blow sounds interesting, more meatshiled is always good, besides that you have gems like item rarity /quantity, not damage gems but still can be useful.

I have enough dex/int for added cold or light or chaos. Im not sure if it will change the damage output at all.

stun gem might be an idea ill try that

Thanks

So, I am around level 26 now and basically following this guide. I have 5 points to spend, and I'm not sure I want/need Blood Magic, especially if I want to run 2 to 3 auras.

Any advice?

If you want to use aura that as %reserved mana you can't use blood magic passive

Use the blood magic support gem instead if don't have enough mana. (req lvl24)

Blood magic will ensure you can use your special skills "at will" which is kind of big thing, if you want to take aura path there is alternative - use blood magic gem for your ground slam attack (tie one of your 3/4/5 linked attack gear in it, you will hit slightly weaker ofc) and use up your entire mana pool for auras, I saw ppl discuss it dozen pages back. Will it be worth it? Hard to say, depends on your gear and approach but luckily blood magic is but one skill and it's beside your path anyway. You could try how it works and respec back easily.

Advice? You have all written and explained to detail. You have our three in 4 or 5 stages of development, hidden under first spoiler section. Just read whole thing carefully and click on everything that looks suspicious :) If your browser doesn't show link, try to refresh or download chrome.
