1.3 [Newbie Friendly] GROUNDSLAMMER BUILD

Dang, I guess i need to keep leveling my Life leech since life on hit is getting weak now. I have about the same stats as you do now, just need another 1k health. I was going to save all my currency and then spend it on a bunch of level 57-59 marauder gear.

You don't have 'about same stats as we do'. You have shit stats, because you lack of enormous 1k life. Is not 'just' 1k. This amout makes a huge difference between life and dead.

Until you will finally understand, that life is everything that makes you strong, and everything you wont - you will constantly dieing.

my bad I dont have a level 85+ main that can farm maps to gear my alts. my bad for bein bad. If I were more lucky on drops I'd probably have better stats. seems like someone shit in your cereal or ran over your kitten. you seem mad. . . didnt say the build was shit I'm asking for help no need to go rage mode on someone you don't even know. thanks for the help. I know what stats I need, getting the gear to fill those is what the problem is.

Ok, you're stuck in Act1 merciless, here are some things i would consider doing:
1) Leave Hellrake alone, he's just a secondary quest, so there's no need to kill him to advance. You can still come back later and get your revenge ;)
2) Farm 'The Ledge' (rush through or let someone give you a tp to the waypoint) until you have some higher levels. Ledge mosterlevel is 53 afair, so that should work out pretty nicely. The mobs there are very easy to clean up and the map is a straight path, so you can just run to one end, zone-out and in again by pressing CTRL while clicking on the portal and create a new instance. Rinse and repeat. If you're lucky you'll even find some decent gear for yourself there.
3) If you're not that lucky keep checking the vendors offers for gear. Sometimes there are quite good items imo, even if they're white. Because generally you have more Transmutation & Alteration orbs and with that you can craft yourself a solid piece of gear if your current one totally sucks. Try to get +xx% physical damage on maces, and +hp on rings for example. Short warning: if you're very unlucky this methode can eat up a good chunk of your alterations (although they're pretty common and therefore I personally don't care that much).
And one last thing: keep in mind that vendors refresh when you level up so check their stuff out when you reach a new level -> shitty offers -> keep farming Ledge -> lvlup -> check again and so on.

Hope this helps ;)

Thanks for the help, I'll be doing this then for a while how long can I farm ledge to? say about 57 or 58 ? I'm not necessarily stuck in Act 1, killing is easy solo, but since i play in a party of 2 myself and a friend things get kinda tough.

You'll get full experience there up until level 59 I think, but the droprates of currency items will go down a bit as you level up, but it's not that significant if you want to level you character.
And I forgot to mention that when you do this "upgrade-vendor-items-to-blue-ones" stuff you should always use quality increasing stuff on the white basic item as i gives you 5% per usage, so you only need to spend 4 currency items to get it to 20%. For the upgraded blue one you would only get 2% per wheatstone/scrap.
Its so bad i have i take 8% resist istead of 40 life from bandit at normal diff?
im at lvl 40 now :|

thanks
