does it really matter what someone else is doing? it's not like that will effect your progress whatsoever.

by the time I eventually leave work and get to play im sure there will be some level 70 characters.
congrats to them but honestly I couldn't care less.

1+
5 minutes later still %75 :P
I guess, I can start a movie now. Or two.

Just sayin. I'm stuck at work anyway but I thinks it's funny that while people are trying to download someone already is 20+
Error :((

Could not overwrite executable with new patch executable ??? noooooo :(:( just pops out but i still have 7mb to dl ?
Just reporting back from my first minutes in Open Beta, been leveling a Shadow to level 8 so far. Download went quite well given the circumstances, certainly smoother than I expected. After successful download I immediately jumped into the game without any delay whatsoever. No queues, error messages, no connection hiccups, no lag, just smooth, buttery gameplay. Latency never went beyond 35ms - can you imagine that on a launch day?
Well, certainly feels motivating to start all over again :)
There's only one small graphical glitch I noticed with the Ice Crown I just bought and tested - I get a weird looking square shaped opaque texture in it when my char gets chilled. I'm sure this will get ironed out soon. It's really nothing, not to take away from my very positive reception of the OB transition :)

I must say: kudos to the GGG team for pulling this off. I work in the IT as well and I know the challenges of high-load situations. You are certainly very able people who know what they're doing. Also it's very refreshing to know what's going on behind the scenes. Certainly helps building sympathies on my end. Keep it up!
eror patching still occurs :((
