I've been leveling up with your build (43 now), and its been a riot. At some point I'm sure I'll feel the squishiness, but right now I feel like I have a gigantic ice shotgun.

Good to hear :D as long as you continue to perma freeze everything you wont feel the squish till 70+ maps. At least that was my experience from it

Well I've never done the math for the DPS for this build. And the increase would depend on the base crit chance of the dagger and how many charges you plan to run. Minimum charges is 150% global crit chance. I run 6 charges so I get 300%, with my dagger I get approx a 30% increased crit chance on ST and varying chance on spells since their base chance is different.

I get about 30% on 5 charges. It makes a huge difference.

You could also do 4-link version or trade in Power Charge on Crit.

why double strike over dual strike? The second hit can not crit if the first one does not..

Also what gem would be the best to link in new league while going through lunaris to get to piety? Fireball or coldsnap or ice spear?

Basically using Ice Shot instead of ST.

So. Many. Freezes. LOL! :)

i gotta say i was in a world of pain till i found this build , and Juggla really helped me out , i was a late starter to the game and he gave me the time and day PM after PM to really explain how the machanics of the build works , Now at 85 i love it , i can do 72 maps solo and 75 groups ,, prob higher if i push it i haven't really tried

The build really shines when you get ya 5L , wow Juggla said it would and it sure did !!

The one thing that gets ya when you get into the 70's maps is Elemental Reflect , you have so much dps you basically 1 shot yaself before you know its happened ,, BUT you learn to deal with it , you learn what mobs are what, and work your way around

I saved and got this ring , expensive but it has saved my arse more times than i can remember already



it helped alot , and also i swap Cold Snap in for fireball on my 5L for survivability

Im thinking there is a life leech neck too that could come in handy but thats big currency.


its a fun build , massive amounts of DPS and yes very cheap to gear up

Because double stike can proc 2 CoC's from 1 attack, while Dual Strike cannot. Even if you hit 95% crit with a quality Dual Strike you would have to have a LOT more attack speed to proc more CoC's then a Double Strike with 85% crit chance.

First link is ALWAYS Ice Spear (ST>CoC>LMP>IS). Fireball will net you more dmg and Cold snap will give you more/longer freeze. But Ice spear is the perfect balance for a 4 link.
