" I see a couple problems with your gear and passive tree that will answer both your questions. Damage is based mostly on gear but your passive tree is missing key passives that can increase your DPS. Resolute Technique is one of the biggest DPS increases you can get. Also, you spend points on DPS nodes that are not worth investing into. Here is my current passive tree if you need reference.

As for your gear, the biggest DPS boost is with a Bringer of Rain. If you do not have this unique helm you will not have anywhere near the DPS that are mentioned in this thread. BoR will provide you with a 6L and also give more physical damage to your weapon for further increase in DPS. It will also provide more block chance and when you achieve max block you can drop life leech for even more DPS if needed. Mana is the biggest issue for this build from what everyone else is saying but definitely doable. Getting Mana Geyser right below the duelist is a must and also Rainbowstride unique boots because they can provide a huge boost to your mana pool. Mana leech on rings and you should be good to go. Both auras on a high lvl reduced mana or you can swap out one of the auras for vitality since it only reserves 40%. Also note that the more DPS you deal the better you can sustain mana. " Hi there, thanks for the reply. I already took resolute technique. 3K dps boost. The passive you linked is for a crit scion. (which is interesting build nevertheless and if you have a link to a guide for this build it would be interesting). Since i can not see the build you refer me to, i dont quite undersantd what dps nodes you think i should not invest into. seems top bor costs ~11 exalt, so im still very far away from it. Low end BoR cost about 6-8 exalts and is plenty fine for starting out. IGN: Titania_

After having some close calls in a 50% recovery map, I realise another beauty of this build is that instead of potentially wasting multiple chaos orbs to reroll a "smothering" mod, you can leave one free passive point for Vaal Pact, and spec in and out of it as desired (one regret orb per respec) ...

" This is my problem as well, I have huge mana problems on these reduced recovery maps with the recommended 4% mana leech. I've found the only solution to either put two mana potions on my bar, or blood magic gem. Another problem is the dependency for mods on gear for int+leeches + 4 unique items gives hardly any room to stretch outwards for rarity/item quantity gear. Kinda hurts being extremely tanky and doing higher level content, with less rewards than lower content due to that. This is an annoying drawback but otherwise it's a great guide. ign-Bowzin ign-Hateblood Last edited by Hateblood#7003 on Feb 14, 2014, 2:00:17 PM

" I find that swapping out Added Fire for Reduced Mana solves this problem completely. As for MF some builds are made for MF some are not. This build has a goal for having nice damage and being really tanky. Partying up is typically what I do if I want to MF. IGN: Titania_

" Using Reduced Mana does work, but I've found that just dropping Hatred (or Grace if it's something easy) and running one mana pot works just as well and Added Fire gives a lot bigger dps increase than Hatred does. Also, I've found running MF on this build actually isn't too difficult. I swap out the BoR for a 6-link chest that I can use both IIQ and IIR gems in and then just run normal MF gear in helm/gloves/boots/ammy/rings (except for my mana/life leech ring, and I also have a pair of MF gloves with life leech on them, so leeching isn't an issue with MF gear for me) and a Perandus in the belt slot. You lose 15% block from the Bringer and a ton of spell block, but if you're really having a problem with spells you can just put your Stone of Lazhwar back in and it should be enough. Other than that, the defenses are really not an issue at all, especially since you're probably not doing super tough stuff when you're MFing anyway. The only real issue is that running IIQ/IIR gems without a Bringer cuts your dps nearly in half, but even that isn't really an issue since I normally do about 21k dps currently. With MF gear that drops down to about 12k, which is still a pretty good number for just soloing. Last edited by Tyrkrol#6038 on Feb 17, 2014, 2:17:32 PM

Thank you so much for posting this build :) finally an end game viable character (my last two failed)
I think I got pretty nice gear (I still die from time to time though), lvl 75, but if you think I should change anything tell me: Resists: 108%/76%/78%/-51% Life: 3687 DPS: 22.9K AOE (running hatred) " |

I'm going to chime in and suggest that resolute technique is not a real DPS boost- it's a tooltip DPS boost. Your chance to hit displayed on your character sheet is versus equal level mobs. In endgame, you're virtually never going to be fighting mobs of equal level... you're pretty much always going to be taking on mobs substantially below your level, so your real chance to hit is going to be much higher. The primary reason most folks I know take resolute technique is to avoid critting. I prefer to take vaal pact, which allows you to not care if you crit, as you're able to leech more than you take from the reflect.
Also, if you are looking for DPS, on most maps, you will maintain full life nearly constantly, so melee damage on full life will push your DPS much higher than added fire, and you can swap them interchangeably. You can also swap in item quantity for farm content. One more relatively easy farm change is swapping stone of lazwar with a good gold amulet with an additional rarity mod- getting 40% from an amulet is pretty easy. Pair that up with some Aurseize gauntlets and you've just added ~ 100% item rarity from 2 slots. Again, this is for content where you're comfortable dropping your defenses a bit. Cheers!
