Hi mate, i really like that shadow build, and wanna give it a try at standard.
i own a pretty decent chest (its mirrored and color set at 5r1g), would it be viable if i skip the fast attak gem? Its was basicly created for a infernal blow facebreaker.
Just like to know what u think, maybe ib would be viable aswell`?

Hello there good sir! That is a pretty nice chest you have :)

The build is absolutely viable with that! I actually have a friend who runs this build with a 5 link without faster attacks and he does just fine :)

The downside to not having faster attacks would be a slower attack speed (obviously lol) which equates to a slightly slower leech speed. I don't think you will lose any DPS, as a matter of fact you will probably gain DPS with that because you would use added fire in the last red link.

The only time I see you not having faster attacks being a pain would be when you you are cursed with temp chains and/or get chilled by cold damage as that slows you down a lot, but just adjust your playstyle around that and you will be fine.

Keep in mind that only physical damage is leeched, but also keep in mind that the secret to this build with bloodseeker is that when blood seeker in used in the main hand with Dual Strike ALL your physical damage is leeched (rather than just claw damage) because both weapons hit count as one hit! :) So always keep bloodseeker in your main hand!

I highly recommend you try this build out, I bet you will love it.

Just got the point of dualstrike after posting this^^.
I think i'll give it a try, gear i got all together, most can be used 1:1 from my es facebreaker.
the last red sock i prolly go for firedmg/lifeleech maybe stun or endurance on melee stun?(might work but will need some testing)
so in the end the only thing i have to invest is my time :P which is okay for me.
will post once i get 80+^^, and let u know how it feels w/o fa.

would your recommend courrupting the claw to get maybe culling on it?
claw costs like 4-5 ex with 120ed at standard so i might buy some and vaal em?

Life leech gem is amazing in the links, I swap out my melee splash for it when doing a really crazy boss, so that is a solid option. Perhaps Added fire for just regular mapping though for faster clear speed and you should have plenty of leech without LL gem for normal mapping, but when a boss with crazy burst damage comes I do strongly recommend using LL gem.

I don't feel like stun or endurance charge on stun is that great for this because any mobs that have a low enough HP to be stunned will die so fast anyways it won't really make a much difference and then bosses have such high HP pools that I don't think you will stun them very often. In my opinion, added fire or life leech is the way to go.

Corrupting the claw to get culling strike would be amazing! If you have the means to risk a bunch of them to get it I say go for it! :)

And yes feel free to keep me updated on how it's going and ask any questions

one last thing, about the belt, what about using that normal atziri belt with a physical roll?

I feel the belt is a very flexible piece and you can choose what you prefer and/or have the best of, a chain belt is good for a larger ES pool, but a good rustic or the Phys atziri belt is a great option too.

I normally recommend going with a rustic with Armor, Es, and res, but since your chest piece has such a high armor roll you can do without an armor roll on your belt. The atziri belt is a great option as it gives you Res, damage, and leech. It's certainly a solid choice.

Out of the choices I would personally go with the Doryani or a rustic though, Rather than a chain, because not only is more phys damage nice for killing faster, but more phys = more ES leeched.

Pretty inzane build, for lvling i switched now grace with haste (won 5k dps and i feel way faster in maps^^)


stats are:
es: ~7.7k
armour: 19k with grace , 10k w/o
dmg: 24k (with frenzies up), 29k (with frenzies up + haste)
resists: ~200/200/200/100 (84/82/84/100)

personally would recommend triing this build out for everyone that owns a soultaker, rest of the eq is pretty easy to get (chest could prolly be only 5L aswell by skipping lifeleech gem).
just use a 85+preleveled shadow^^

And I must say I am totally jealous of those boots :D Oh man, they are sexy!

Oh also, I sometimes also use haste in place of grace, like for example at atizri because she doesn't deal much phys.. Also on the flip side of that, when I do the trio before her, I sometimes drop a few purities and put in determination along side grace, which gives me massive armor, somewhere around 40k with just auras, it gets around 130k with those + a jade flask! makes that fight even easier, but I have also done them without even bothering to change the auras.

Also this build is still viable without soul taker, just gotta drop a purity or two and have a bit of mana leech, but obviously the build shines even better with ST and the 6 auras :)

might run some more atziris with it to test its optimal settings, like vaal removing purity of fire and maybe ice for haste, the super puch is heavy to tank^^. but to get out of the blizzard haste might work very well.
tri boss need only fireres so ye, skipping light+ice purity for determination (might have the coloring problem) so purity of elements + determintation it may be.
to bad cleave cant be used with an claw, which is stupid but ye :D else i'd run a cleave version^^

Sadly I am at work right now and cant tune into twitch on a work PC, but I did check it out for a moment on my cell, but bad reception here it was laggy, I'll check it out more when I am at home.

I did notice one thing though: I noticed you are using granite flasks, which is ok, but with this build, with all the % EV nodes that are a part of it and the IR, a Jade flask of Reflexes actually gives more armor than a granite will. You can, if you wanted, run a granite and a jade in conjunction and they stack if used together for crazy armor, but run at least 1 jade bro :)
