Wow man...why are you even playing this game? D3 has some open slots. I'm not saying that there aren't possibly some negative points in those notes (although tbh I couldn't find any) but you couldn't find one positive. I think you're in the wrong game.

Did he say it would be implemented first day of OB launch?

You can reclaim effects (putting them back in your microtransaction stash) using the purchasable "Recover Cosmetic Effect" item which is also stored in your microtransaction stash.
If you want to destroy all of the cosmetic effects on an item for free without getting them back, place it on the cursor and type "/destroy_cosmetic_effects". Be very careful with this, we can't replace any purchases that are accidentally destroyed.

You can reclaim it using a paid item or destroy it forever. What we want is an effect that we purchase once and can reclaim forever. It's fine if the price is significantly higher, I don't want to pay to reuse the effect.

I kinda agree with you Unearthly, but will wait patiently to see what pricing is like. I would be onboard paying more for the option to transfer the effect when I wanted, even if you paid per item type or something:

i.e. purchase 'fire' cosmetic for bows, you can then transfer fire effect to any bow you equip. Cosmetic is equipped via microtrans tab (similar fashion to kiwi) and it's permanent. If you want 'cold' effect for bows, you purchase that. Gets around the constant upgrade issue, and still requires you to purchase for other items types if you want cosmetics on them. Obviously would be more expensive.

Anywho, love your work GGG and look forward to seeing Act3 and all the changes.
Do you serve a purpose, or purposely serve?
When in doubt inside your atavistic allure, the value of a summer spent,
And a winter earned.
Can someone confirm that elemental equilibrium affcts your totems?
Okay fellas, im about to loose my mind completely... STOP complaining about the microtransaction stuff. If you dont like it, dont use it. The game is already free to play. They gotta have some source of income. If the effect was permanent then there would be no need to purchase it again later on. They are obviously doing this to keep the price of the enchantment low, and encourage more players to purchase it, and also repurchase once they get another very sick upgrade. This is a business strategy, but it doesn´t effect the gameplay itself so if you are unhappy with their way of doing this just dont buy it. You aren´t forced to.
Awesome!

Hmm...what happened to Chris' statement in a big October video interview that microtransactions would include gender change options?

Why do I as a female have only 2 avatar choices that are female, and 4 that are male? Seems kinda unfair to me.

:-( I mean, I'll still be playing, but it is quite disappointing.

do you have any clue how much it would cost em to do that?
Any clue?
that's why it would be a microtransaction, jackass.
no need to call him a jackass... but it takes quite a bit to change the look and also all the sounds, not to mention how corny it would be if the story was exactly the same for for instance female templar. we're talking several thousand(maybe even as much as 15k) dollar per char they'd do, that's not micro, that's macro...
Hmm...I wasn't the one who said that gender and other cosmetic avatar microtransactions could be expected (during an hour & a half interview which sadly I can't relocate at the moment). Chris said it. He went on to say that they probably wouldn't include things like earrings and small details because the avatar on screen in game is so small, but he did say that were a lot of request for the gender change and that he expected it would be available. Key point: HE said it, not me. :-)
maybe Chris just meant that gender change would EVENTUALLY be a microtransaction option, but not necessarily as soon as open beta?

although unnecessarily negative, he did have a point on a few of his rants, like fireball lagging. (and I can't think of a 2nd correct point of the top of my head xD)
Go GGG!
