[Nemesis] Nyx's Incinerate Tank
" I literally never notice lightning thorns. It killed my first character in Cruel while I was leveling, but that's only because I had very little lightning resist. In Merciless, it doesn't even tickle, I actually never notice my health going down. MoM isn't the point of the build, it's icing on the cake. It's something you take because you can, simply because the build puts you close to it in the tree. I still dislike the Anvil. I played with it for a while, and it's a nice item, but it neuters your DPS way too much, while provided survivability buffs that are essentially on par with just using another amulet with more impressive stats. I have made a version of this for the new skill tree. It starts off as a Templar because scion seemed to take more points for less. it seems harder to get a lot of life with the new tree but i still manage to get the important nodes AND 196% life along with 39% block chance. And oh yeah it has a little less mana regen and max mana but takes 20% effect of auras and 21% reduced mana reserved which should make it easier to get stuff running at lower levels (i think :P ).
breakdown:

" Here's the version I came up with, which still hits everything. I thought Tempar would be better, but Scion seems still more point efficient, just because of that last 41%. The tree seems a bit weird now though. I think I definitely agree that Templar is better for this build now though. I hate people who ignore consent. I've just respecced my templar discharger to this and this build is so ridiculously OPed that it seems virtually immortal. Actually my biggest downside of it is that (after my CoC welder) this is so boring and unchallenging gameplay that you could do mapping while sleeping.
Why OP uses fireball on one of his 4L setup? It seems redundant/unnecessary? I've tried to respecc CwDT setup to immortal call but this build seemingly requires curse on CwDT as well, so I'll have to change it. Is there a boss that poses a problem in maps? I presume laser bitch on torture chamber, anything else particularly dangerous? EDIT one more thing, I was seemingly unable to cap my phys block (block now at 64/75; with tempest) I will grab few more nodes soon (+7 =71) but still no cap. Not that I'm complaining but did I miss something? Tree; Lvl 78 Gear:

" To answer the question about why Fireball, the original build was on Nemesis, which means on particularly dangerous maps, Corrupted Blood was a problem. There was also bosses like Kole on Promenade, where yes, you could tank him, but if he crit and managed to hit you, you would probably still die, so it wasn't worth the risk. As for reaching max block as Templar, you'll either need to corrupt your gear, or go for the the block nodes to the left of of the Duelist tree. It'll cost you 4 points to do so, so it's really up to you if you decide it's worth it or not. (Also don't forget that lone 2% node across from Vaal Pact, it's useful if you manage to corrupt Block Chance on something.) I hate people who ignore consent. I'm a bit skeptical on the shock idea. From a bit of a skim on the shock formula, it seems like it's really worth doing this if you can put out the right amount of damage. Does shock actually affect bosses? Also has anyone tried added lightning damage with incinerate for the on demand shock?
My tempest shield does 374 damage by the way.. is that enough? Last edited by jebroni#0936 on Apr 5, 2014, 11:49:41 PM

" You need to proliferate the shock onto bosses. You can't shock them naturally. It's not amazing, but with the introduction of the Three Dragons Mask, it could be pretty scary with Static Blows. I am interested in trying it. On that note, Tempest Shield shocks normal monsters just fine. Edit: I should mention that Static Blows is neither amazing or necessary for the non-Three Dragons version of the build. It's just kind of cool to have. I hate people who ignore consent. Can anyone who has reached maps with this build tell me how the clear speed is? I've already started leveling my Scion, but thinking about switching to a Witch build I saw (which had more DPS with a little less block). What do you huys think?

Trying to fix my passive tree for Forsaken Masters for this build, but i'm having issues.
This is what I have so far: I have extra block because I have a 28% shield atm, but I feel like I am doing something wrong. Just picking up the major keystones I feel like I have hardly any points left over, but looking at the tree visually it doesn't seem like much moved. Would love some help fixing this as I would love to go back to this build. Edit: Did a few more changes, and managed to make it cost less points. However, I logged onto my scion to see how many points I had, and I managed to do this build in 91 points before forsaken masters. With the build above, i miss out on a lot of the life nodes I planned on taking, not sure how that will convert with the new health values, but I feel I'll end up losing a lot of life.
