Many pages (and years) back in this thread, a poster lamented not being able to use the name "Crazy Horse." I'm going to use that as an example of how to finesse a name you want, but which is already taken. In this example, Crazy Horse is clearly English, a translation of Thasunjke Witko (this is a Romanized approximation of the name, based on a more accurate transliteration which I cannot type here, or likely in the character creator, due to unusual characters). That name could be used, or its literal translation, "His Horse is Crazy."

So, any time a descriptive name in English appears, look for it in its original language (or even in another language entirely). Conversely, a familiar name found in another language can be translated into English or even a third language. =^[.]^=
