[1.0.3b] Self-cast Storm Call, CI, CwS, high block build.

Oh, for bandit rewards I did Alira for mana, Kill All for passive, then Oak for endurance charge. I could see arguments for choosing differently, but 40 mana really helps with lvling and I personally value an extra endurance charge over a passive point. I'll add that to the build description :)

thanks for sharing your build. I am leveling a stormcall witch and want to test out a life based version of this build. I think if you run an ES build, you really should use aurora aegis. But I know that item is really expensive... thats why I want to try out the life based version.

On your head/gloves/belt/ring you want to have ES/armor and much life and resist.
By using Cloak of Defiance you get Mind over Matters + additonal 10% dmg to mana. You also gain a high amount of mana by using Eldritch Battery to mitigate much dmg and run serveral auras (Tempest shield + Clarity + Determination). By having a high block amount (>70%)and using the Anvil, you get life and mana per Block to improve your tankiness. You also have a nice amount of spellblock (60% Rathpite globe + 12% from tree + 25% Rainbowstrides).
The gems should be similar to yours, but I have to test things out.

I will give feedback if this build is working out when I got more time to play poe. Hopefully during christmas time :)

Some things to keep in mind:
-Static Blows nodes are really powerful for Storm Call, as it would take a large investment to get 20% shock chance via crit since Storm Call's base crit is only 4%, so I would drop some crit or shield block to pick them up.
-By going life, the CwS gems will lose at least some of their effectiveness.
-With the Eldrich Battery keystone you're taking Arctic Armour becomes much easier to run, so you can level it much past the current lvl 7 I'm using it at.
-I actually did test out the Anvil for this build but the movement speed debuff is really significant with regards to clear speed. The build's tankiness goes up, but since your exp/min and obs/min go down, I'm not sure it's worth it unless you can compensate the debuff well enough with your other gear.

I´m leveling this build actually and its really funny. fells like a "storm bomber" or so. I`m also using Lightning Warp + faster casting + reduced duration. Hopefully I dont have to walk anymore when the gems got a higher level and thats why the movement speed debuff from The Anvil can be ignored.

Sure, I'll post that now! And I never picked up hp passives, but that was because this wasn't my first character and I was able to buy high ES gear as I leveled. The build goes by a decent number of hp nodes however, so leveling using life shouldn't be much different.

Lightning Warp with those gems is definitely awesome, I didn't have that setup when I tried out the Anvil and didn't think to try it again since. Let me know how well it works out!

I thought people might want some recorded gameplay to see how aggressive this build can be, so I filmed a random Fleet Overgrown Ruins of Flames. However...I didn't know the software I was using only does 30 seconds by default, so it's only a random snippet of that run. I'll have to find some other software to show a full run including bosses :)
