No difference really. I take the points spent on RotH (4 points) and reinvest them into finishing off PA. I also spec out of Herbalism. The pathing has always been the same. Some people would consider getting Talons of Murder from the top, but you skip out on a +30 str notable that you need for your Decoy Totem and other str-related supports.

And yes, a thicket is unnecessary. Harbingers are going to be the king for crit-bow builds. A Harbinger's with top implicit crit and top crit roll can get 9.4% crit chance on the bow itself. [50% top implicit roll and the "of Incision" top roll range 35-38% crit chance. 5% base crit * (1 + .5 + .38)]

Well I didnt get a harbringer although I may save for one.
Ended up with this due to the good price (3 exalt and change).

Puts me at base
ROA dps of 4106 up from my earlier 2681
Frenzy dps of 3688.6 up from my earlier 1894

Now to work on rings and ammy.

Hi , i need some crafting advice regarding this item:

I crafted it through chaos orbs , i know there is at least room for one exalt , but i dont know if it would be woth to expend it, any thoughts?

Btw anyone knows what the bow is worth? Ty, in advance.

That's a pretty decent item. If you have the spare exalt, sure. Otherwise, it's fine as is. (The rolls aren't top anyways.) As a 5L and decent stats, I'd price the bow around 3-5 ex.

Forgive me if this has already been answered but I didn't see it: Is adding a blind support to your single-target a good way to improve survivability? Seems like it should be but I don't see many people recommend it so I wonder if I'm missing something.

Thats an awesome question because Iver often wondered the same. I even wondered about adding it to ROA as well, or when I switch to Poison Arrow when I encounter a Physical Resist pack? Add Blind to the PA as well.
I use a unlinked Puncture and bear traps for the rare mob boss. Other solutions would also use a Ranged Attack Totem linked with a bow skill or a conversion trap. Using RoA guarantees I don't die to reflect because I can't offscreen and I can see what I'm shooting at (since you need to aim with RoA).

A new skill combo that may be worth using is using Barrage + Blind + Ranged Attack Totem + Faster Attacks. This way, you have a method of blinding enemies as well as having a decoy of sorts.

Would you consider running Alpha's Howl in this build?
Pretty sure you can, but since our damage comes from the crits, I dont really see why you'd use the Howl. I have no problems running Grace and Hatred on mana, and I think those are the only 2 auras that I need.

Exactly that ^. With proper gear, AH is unnecessary.

Sorta took a break from PoE, but I'll be posting more often.

Hey man,

I dont think we have ever spoken, but I saved a lot of your posts from like a year ago on Ranger builds. I remember researching a lot and yours were the most solid. I havent played since launch, but I'd like to get back into it as I have more free time now. Im pretty experienced with games like this and I prefer harder to play higher output builds even if they are harder to level etc. If you're interested at all in pointing me in the right direction on the current "top rated" (I know lol) builds for ranger or duelist or the like it would be incredibly appreciated. Im just overwhelmed with all the changes so not sure where to start and I dont wanna fuck up my build if Im going to devote a lot of time to the game :) thanks a ton! email would be great kierankyle[at]gmail.com
