Error: failed to initialise

Hi. I have a problem. When I download game at first, game start normaly. But after few days when I recieved the key, game crashed and after loader screen apire window like this...

I tried to change drivers and download soft like DirectX. But nothing help. Also I tried to redownload game.

If anyone knows how to fix help cope with the problem. Thanks in advance.

bump! i'm also getting the same problem. is there a quick fix for this? i've also redownloaded the game and updated my drivers

I'm having the same error message...
I tried updating all the drivers, directX, etc and re-downloading the entire game again.

The error should say what is the thing that couldn't be initialised

ReEDIT: '' Got file list for "" 0 ''? Maybe the problem is there...

I do not know what was the problem. But reinstalling of the windows fixed this error...

I think he's trolling you. The pathofexileinstaller.exe has a "repair" option, but it doesn't seem to do anything.


1) If you think your install is corrupt, you can go to this thread http://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/18531 and d/l the Pack Checker, to at least check the content.ggpk file




Seriously: telling people to re-download an entire 4.51 gig pack file is ludicrous.

I tried using the Pack Checker, nothing changes... the same error T_T

I have this problem too and even made a thread here but no reply, no help. I played this game few months ago just fine and just came back to it but can't play it because of the error. Tried EVERYTHING what's suggested but it seems even the devs can't figure out what's going on. Only standard replies like check minimal specs, reinstall etc. I'm mad. No help, nothing! Glad i didn't buy this game. Bye.
