Hey guys.
Just wanted to share my about to be retired facebreaker toon. Details: Youtube video: http://youtu.be/SEmszODS2AY Gear,
Spoiler
Half way point on the tree: http://tinyurl.com/p6zzfx2 Current tree: http://tinyurl.com/p6zzfx2 Gems: Infernal blow is your bread and butter! This is what allow the facebreaker to move through large amounts of mobs fast. This is linked with blood magic and melee splash for the spread. Next is frenzy, this is linked with faster attacks, melee phys and blood magic. Frenzy is your single target. It does not do the damage of infernal blow but it allows you to take out the pesky reflect mobs without killing yourself. Auras. I use determination and hatred to allow more tank and spank. Cures, I use flammability to increase the damage of the infernal blow. Blood magic: All my active ability are linked with blood magic to allow my mana to be used for auras and curses. Because this build is very life focused and used the carnage heart, i am pretty much able to free cast and attacks using my hp. Brief description: This build is all about tank. It grabs as much hp nodes as can be obtained as well as some armor and block nodes for that extra defence. This build is very gear dependent and will cost allot to get started. For oblivious reasons the facebreaker gloves are a must on top of the belt and necklace unique. These items give you the dmg, attributes and survivability that is a must for this build. All other gear is optional but i would highly recommend bringer of rain for that extra dmg late game. This build is extremely effective from normal to early merc. once you hit later merc and maps, you will notice that things will not die nearly as fast but that is why the build is focused around tank. The dmg drop off in maps will require the use of the flammability curse to allow for more burst in larger packs. It is very possible to one kill yourself if a ele reflect mod is missed. Its always best to have a fire resist flack in your inventory to counter your reflected dmg. Thats pretty much it. Thanks for reading. For a (pseudo) budget build, just Facebreakers with Meginord's with a linked IB + Melee Splash is an incredibly powerful leveling tool.
Are you sure about the amulet? I can see the lifesteal being really useful, but one with added physical damage would give you even more slamdunk power. IRON MAN

I think OP means for 'obvious' reasons, not 'oblivious' reasons :P Quite a distinction!
" I agree with this. I've done this several times, albeit in Standard. IB + melee splash + Meginords will make you love levelling. It's quite easily one of the most fun ways I've ever levelled. You only need about 5-10 flat phys damage on each piece of jewellery and it's just brilliant to feel so powerful. It does drop off in merciless quite quickly though. Meginords might cost you a few chaos but it's well worth it. They aren't that rare, so don't know why they b/o for 1 ex. I wouldn't pay more than 10 chaos. The thing is, if you're in a hardcore league, the burst reflect is a problem. You will need to be VERY aware of the reflect aura graphics. Especially the ele reflect if you run added fire and/or hatred. Get in the habit of using a Ruby flask, and knowing your limits in terms of phys reflect. If you can spread mobs away from the rare, you should never get in trouble. One rare with reflect should never kill you on its own. I don't think multistrike is really necessary with facebreakers. From experience, I wouldn't use multistrike with Cyclone. It was just far too unpredictable, and the damage with Conc effect is just more reliable and overall better. You could try multistrike with frenzy, I had a lot of fun with Frenzy + multi strike + splash, but Cyclone was better for me. For both packs and single target. This, coupled with the ele reflect problem of IB, is why I went Cyclone permanently. But IB does have mileage, it just wasn't for me :-) FiftyShadesOfBlade
