A. Yes, totems are weak. Buffing their life + resists has poor ROI (Return on Investment) since the passive skill points should be prioritized elsewhere in the tree.

now hold on a sec...mind = blown. All this time I've been spending my passive points on totem survivability/placement speed. Now, you're saying "don't". You seem like an experienced person, so it made me think. I could save so many points if I refunded. I'm just wondering how much weaker my totems will then be...

I think this build seems like the build you was looking for, such as enough mana reg & 10 Auras stacking with it easy.

Just my Shavronne's missed the 6L than i add reduced mana to spam the totem without any mana isues.

Sorry guys I've been away recovering from surgery.

Anyways since the witch tree has been given a makeover which (pardon the pun) actually opens up "Whispers of Doom" -- "Enemies can have 1 additional curse"! The other change is that Hex Master while made more accessible it changed from "Curses you cast never expire" to "100% Increases Curse Duration" but that is a waste of skill points IMHO.

The wheel around "Purity of Flesh" is optional but it gives us some nice chaos resists.

Version 1.2 has sadly removed "Elemental Adaptation": +2% elemental resists. :-/

Hey there, considering using this build. I only have a 5l Shavs on standard, what are your thoughts on flame totem in a 5l, using IIR and legacy IIQ gems. Was thinking of using Flame Totem, GMP, Faster Projectiles...
