My Guide to Kripparrian's Original 2H Physical Sword Spectral Throw Ranger [1.0.4]
I've read a thread on this forum that goes on and on with questions on how Kripp made his spectral throw / double strike ranger, so I figured I'd just put together a little guide to make this build easy to level and put everything in one place, with some of my own variance on it. This is not ment to take credit from Kripp, just something easier for new players to use, because who doesn't love guides? This is just a rough draft right now, I will be adding more as I go along.

Gearing
Spoiler
Following are optimal stats you would want on every piece of gear
NOTE: Try to get Intelligence on some gear so you can drop any major Int nodes on the tree. It can easily roll on Helms, Gloves, Rings, and Amulets. HELM: - + To Max Life - + To Resistances - % Increase to Armor and Evasion - Accuracy - Increased Item Rarity (Optional) GLOVES: [Damage Route] - Adds #-# Physical Damage - Attack Speed - + To Max Life - + To Resistances [Tank Route] - + To Max Life - + To Resistances - % Increase to Armor and Evasion - Increased Item Rarity (Optional) BOOTS: - + To Max Life - 20%-30% Movement Speed - + To Resistances - % Increase to Armor and Evasion - Increased Item Rarity (Optional) CHEST: - + To Armor - % Increase to Armor (Basically get as much armor as you can) - + To Max Life - + To Resistances RINGS & AMULET: [Damage Route] - Adds #-# Physical Damage - Attack Speed - + To Max Life - + To Resistances - Accuracy [Tank Route] - + To Max Life - + To Resistances - Accuracy - % Leeched back as Life You could easily do a hybrid of the two, just make sure you mitigate damage and survivability together, and I would definitely recommend getting life leech on at least one ring or amulet. BELT (RUSTIC SASH): * 20-24% Physical Damage - + To Max Life - + To Resistances - Armor - Strength - Weapon Elemental Damage (Optional) SWORD (2-HANDER): - % Increased Physical Damage - Adds #-# Physical Damage - Attack Speed - Accuracy My Gear

" Stats per 1 skill point Wicked Blade 12% phys damage 3.3% attack speed Blade Master 12% phys damage 2.5% attack speed 2% accuracy Wrecking Ball 10.25% phys damage 3% attack speed Reaver 9.25% phys damage 5% accuracy 2.5% hp Legendary Swordsman 8.4% phys damage (2 str = 1hp + 0.4% phys damage) 0.5% attack speed 7% accuracy Razor's Edge 8.75% phys damage (3.75 str = 1.75hp + 0.75% phys damage) 1.5% hp 2.5% accuracy Brutal Blade 7% phys damage (5 str = 2.5hp + 1% phys damage) 1.5% attack speed 3% accuracy Berserking 7% attack speed Acceleration 6% attack speed 10 Dex = 20 acc 4% max mana Legendary Swordsman and Razor's Edge are almost equal in damage point efficency. Differnece only in addictional stats u need accuracy or %hp. Brutal Blade is 0.5% worser in damage and worser in additional stats, but if u will take it early game u can use +20 str for ur equipment. So it is not the worst point efficency skill. Correct me if i made a mistake =) Last edited by 6ec63#6630 on Dec 8, 2013, 6:22:29 PM

I just skimmed through this and instantly saw wrong gem links.

Nice guide, I've been looking for something like this for a while now :)

" hum? wich link is wrong? |

The Cast when DMG Taken link is wrong.
You use blood magic with it, but gems supported by CWDT cost no mana. So you can remove this one and put in enfeeble or something. |
|
I recommend summon skeletons with CwDT. They die from one hit but you will constantly spawn more. They work especially well against slow hard hitters. Also level up faster projectiles gem on weapon swap as sniping with ST from offscreen makes most tough map bosses a joke.
My links atm:
