PoEStatistics.com - extended statistics

there are of course reasons why (some) people (or in some specific situations) would not like to be tracked/trackable - but I see really no way to have a legal option to cut off others from doing math/evaluating of free accessible public data.

Beside this: if someone use his work's internet connection (or anything else, paid and owned by the firm or boss) for private/inacepted/prohibited purposes - there's nothing to claim as your "right"... and, if the boss is interested/curious: I'd expect that any connection data is logged (like where I work), and can easily evaluated if you're under suspect (easier as to prove that "this" account is a) you and b) used by you at your worktime...)

Its really not that much harder, nor much different, to take the csv-export from time to time (lets say on a daily basis) to see how much xp/how many levels a char has earned, and to guess from that how many has been played. Both will (nearly) never show that I played 5 hours at each of my chars in one day ^^

it's significantly easier to lookup poestatistics.com and get a table with your playtime in the last weeks than writing a script which does it in the next 4 weeks. at least for my boss :-)

there is no option other than ggg don't provide the data in the first place. but i can deal with it and others will have to. in fact i love poestatistics and the feedback it provides to me.

having different accounts for forum and ingame is a wise move in the first place and then you can always create other ingame accounts for playing with people you don't want to present your gaming habits.

Suggestion: I see you already have exp gain by time period. How about a summary of how many active players within a time period. It would be sort of a active popultion count restricted to the top 15K players per league.

Can you also post my name and maybe my email address, oh, and what about my geographical location (you know, location of my IP address), all without my permission or consent?

Give me the option to opt out or, better yet, proactively require Exiles' permission before ever collecting their character's data.

if you really see a problem with people who dont know you (which may be the most part of the statistics users); but either are curious for whatever reason to take the look, or stumble upon your data by accident - there could be something wrong with your mind... and if you have a problem with the (few) people that can draw the line between your char/accound and your own existence, I'd say there's even more wrong in your life.

If you dont want to get "tracked" in general, dont play public games in the internet - if you dont want to get tracked at all, even avoid playing in local networks; avoid doing multiplayer at all.
