Concentrated Effect on Proliferated Ignite Damage tested (with numbers)

The wiki says these modifiers can affect the Ignite damage:

Damage over Time modifiers
Burning Damage modifiers
Damage modifiers
Fire Damage modifiers
Elemental Damage modifiers
Area Damage modifiers if applied by an Area skill
Projectile Damage modifiers if applied by a Projectile skill
Trap Damage modifiers if applied by a Trap
Mine Damage modifiers if applied by a Mine
Totem Damage modifiers if applied by a Totem
Minion Damage modifiers if applied by a Minion

This means, that if the hit that caused the ignite is AOE then the Ignite damage takes AOE modifiers as well. If the fireball did not pierce/chain/fork the initial hit should be AOE damage.
i'm not entirely sure what this experiment wants to proof... isn't it well known that you can't affect support gems with other support gems? please correct me if i'm wrong.

Technically, you are 100% correct. However when you link proliferation with an active skill that skill gains a property 'if status effect is inflicted on the enemy, copy that status effect to other enemies in radius of X units'. You can modify that radius with other supports like conc effect or increased AoE because you aren't really affecting the support gem, you're affecting the skill and that skill has a property which involves a radius stat, it's a part of it.

Anyway, proliferate wasn't the purpose of his experiment, ignite inflicted by a fireball that properly exploded should have been affected by conc effect support, proliferation doesn't change anything.
Wish the armchair developers would go back to developing armchairs.

Yeah, and that is the bug. It doesn't, when it comes to calculating burn damage, when it should.

Raics reported it already. It's no biggie really, why would anyone use Fireball for ignite nowadays when we have Flameblast. Fireball still has its shotgunning ability and hence has a spot in GMP CoC builds (and I guess there are some selfcasters, me included but a bit more rare).
