Jan 14: One-week HC Race

holy shit this race is insane, top 20 81?!

Was a fun race. Played in a duo/solo all the way to 79,5 on apballe and with about 17 hours left of the race i threw in the towel and hit the sack. There is just no way to compete with the 4-6 man teams as a duo running 62s-63s and the rare 64-65.


It's really nice to see such a high lvl of competition though and i cant wait for OB!

Just picked up the game 10 days ago...what a great event! Grats to the GGG guys (sorry Simon :()

Mostly did solo/duo and hit 53 (and I'm sure my build is terribad, don't care, had fun!)

I hope there will be events like this when the game goes live.

Also - Kiwis should break urns and pots. And have a forum avatar. Just sayin.

That's not true at all, he spammed pots in true panicked fashion.

The problem is that he was retarded enough to run in a circle on a double brutus map and got gripped as a result.

Quick recap on the race from my end.

Started out as a marauder planning on going blood magic EK.
He died on wednesdsay at level 49 on ruthless vaal.

Rerolled a shadow and went with another EK build.
Went completely lonewolf in this race again and ended up at top 61~ and fifth shadow, at level 75.50.
This was the first character I had to run maps with as I had only competed in the 1-3 hour races before.

Maintaining a normal sleeping schedule of 6-7 hours a day and having a 40+ hour work week
I had calculated to hit around level 75 in 1 week without dieing. Seems I overdid my calculations and went to level 75 from wednesday to sunday evening.

EK was at 3.8k dps at the end of the race with the following gear:

Ended up giving my left over maps to the team of "takashixtoofksuk" and wish goodluck for the last 2 hours to the remaining people competing for the top 20.

hmm just rewatched his videos, i maintain what i said.His health pots both had 1 charges used.If that would happen to half the players i know in this game there pots would have been emptied in half the time it takes to blink.He did double use his granite though.

Really fun race was able to meet elot of new poeple to play with

Solod intill 65 joined a group and had elot off fun there, got to 79.7

got my spark up to 331 dmg
and my health 4201 life
2150 energy shield
and 80 to all resists
