Jan 12: 3h Solo HC

Had desync, and not the best rng, but was set for a normal game it was looking like and I can normally start catching up after 2 hours.

Unfortunately I ran into a speed aura mob in the cavern with merviel. At least a dozen exploders, and at some point was hit with temp chains by a daughter of merv, I never actually saw one hit me, but it happens. Being one that does not like to alt f4, and does so very rarely, I took my chances, and as the odds of probably less then one percent would say, I fell.

May the rest of you be blessed with rng, and have a great race.
I went down to esploders too, at the edge of my screen. Apparently I was not where the server thought I was. XD

Desync is the player's fault?... funny how that goes.
I died to desync as well to 3 champs in ledge after a lot of rubberbanding and a few near-death situations.
I just hope they do something about it already, it makes the game so annoying to play sometimes.
Yes, most desync cases are actually players fault. Lag is not necessarily game's fault. You can have character stop instead and do nothing and it would be far more annoying than current desync. Game tries to let you play separately on server and on client for some time which leads to desync. It can be handled better, but in this case it is actually fine IMO. I think only problem is when it shoots you to random location over wall in attempt to approximate your position, but not when it just backs you to where you were earlier. He tried to get past a big group of enemies. He should not be able to do so, h just got stunned. It may be game's fault that he was allowed to, but it was mainly just his faulty connection that didn't allow for any information for a few seconds.

However, he wanted to do something stupid in the first place. He played extremely risky without even potentially gaining anything, even if he succeeded running through.

I have 100/100, my ping to the server is always around 30 without spikes. There was a lot of mobs but most of them were to the sides and there was none in chokes in front of me, if what I was seeing was accurate there was NO way I could have get stuck there.

If there are connection issues then they are server sides, there's noone playing this game who doesn't experience the desyncs so saying it's the players fault is just silly. True I could have played it safe as hell but it's a race so what would be the point of that? Play it safe to end up with a handful of trinkets that will be gone in the reset anyway? :P

I love this game and will continue playing it no matter what but desync is the major issue right now, the game is on the right track everywhere else but the desync issues must be fixed, I know it's infinitely better now than earlier in the beta but it's still the most important issue for us HC players.
Died in Vaal Ruins level 1 at Level 20. Was in 20th place and gaining fast on the top Templar. Too bad :(

Died in Waterfall Cave level 1 too, due to a desync that I should have seen coming (ran through a narrow passage with a bunch of mobs surrounding me).

Pretty much a good conclusion to my closed beta racing :-P.
Died Twice

IMutedMyselfForTenHours (1st death in Upper Submerged)
CoralRingsDamn (2nd death on Vaal, about 488 hp with 29% lightning resist)

Died level 23 @ Position 23

I guess i just like to take time when bulding my char up :).
GGG thank you for all the great things you are doing. You have combined every element of all other great Rpg's and joined them together as one Diamond, that will shine Forever.

This is coming straight from the heart <3

Died in cruel ledge. Kuduku just oneshot me, I even had 50 lightning resist. My drops were pretty bad, never found MS boots and my weapons sucked. I found a good amulet though.

I wouldn't say that every desync is the players fault, but many cases of desync can be foreseen and avoided by the player. Especially when it comes to desyncs in narrow areas like the submerged passage, the cave and so on desyncs can be avoided by careful pathing.

But then there are also less obvious desyncs that can happen in open areas like the western forest and rubberbanding caused by high latency, those are hardly avoidable and require quick and correct reaction by the player.
