A power charge-critical based ice build with aura's just rocks.

What about using Shavs + 30% Spell Dmg on Low Life so you dont need to use CI

Doing that on my witch. To be honest, I think 8 000 DPS on freeze pulse is max you can get on a non glass cannon gear.
It is all right if you got gear that gives total 10 000 ES, but if you're a mortal person who needs to sleep and go to work, you won't farm and trade enough to get it.

So for being efficient on high level maps I would suggest going melee/spectral throw etc.

As far as OP's build is concerned, no VP = death to reflect, and no, if you want to do maps, you gotta be able to do all the affixes. Also, I would take more +ES nodes.
