I'm wanting to use the item rarity/item quantity gems, but since summoners depend on 2-3 discreet killing blow skills (spectres/zomb/skellies), i don't really know how i can gem efficiently and get killing bonuses. If u left your skellies and zombs w/o a minion damage support and left killing to item-find gemmed spectres, i think it'd slow things down on the whole.

You could make a Culling Strike+Item Rarity+Item Quantity+Nuke of your choice combo. It'd last hit some mobs at least, but the issue is Zombies tend to trash mobs so hard they'll often die before you can even proc culling strike. But putting it on zombies you run into the same issue with spectres, so yeah, kinda annoying. On the flipside, you can wear item rarity gear easier as a summoner than some other classes I think, especially if you grab the shield resist nodes in the templar area with a cermonial/angel shield(+54%elem resist with just these, leaves you a lot more room for other slots).

Do minions created with a Remote Mine link received the 30% damage buff granted by Mine or is it somehow wasted? I've used it on skellies and zombies but it's very hard to tell if they're actually getting a 30% dmg buff on their attacks.

Quite interested in making a summoner witch. Which build should I go for though? Also, it says it has all other builds removed?? OB has been up already.

good information thanks I was thinking about making one but I had a question how do summoners match up with solo play versus an act boss?

like I assume most act bosses wouldn't be to bad because of the added summons from the bosses themselves for you to spawn more zombies but is there ever a time when your zombies just get completely wiped and your only left spawning skeletons? or is it generally not to bad and most zombies survive?

Your pets generally aren't strong enough to tank normal Piety when you get to her, so you might need to port out and raise more or just sit out of LoS spamming skellies. I killed all of the Cruel and Merciless act bosses in a few seconds via cursing, having my zombies surround them while my spectres shoot them a few times. Merciless Piety sometimes is problematic depending on how quickly she starts teleporting and spamming abilities, but usually she dies pretty easy.
I Can confirm this. Bosses on normal is a bit problematic. On cruel and merciless the zomies deal alot of dmage to them, and if the boss manages to kill them you still have skeletons wich are really good for them aswell.

Summoner seems really strong for dealing with single strong targets so far, especially so if you go with curses.

reached lvl 70 in HC with this build. i died to merc vaal due to my stupidity. i repeated and i didnt die again. deleted my character and restarted again after.

i had 2.8k life, 1.5k es. 75/75/75/3 resistances.

i used:

spell totem+skeleton+minion damage+faster casting
raise zombies+minion life+minion damage
raise spectre+minion damage+lmp+pierce
clarity+discipline+wrath+reduced mana
bear trap+added fire damage
fire trap+added lightning damage
enfeeble

in hindsight, i would have taken the int nodes above (near MI) instead of the nodes in the middle. this makes it easier to get double curse. i also wouldve gotten life regen and get zealot's oath if my ES improved.

lmp on spectre is good, but i dont think i benefitted much since i only had 1 spectre. i might use 2 fire traps instead of bear trap because i cant get enough dex. i might also use purity instead of wrath.

i also never used any uniques. i prefered hp/resistance items.
