Thanks again to my group, the race went very good except for the untimely death of our duelist at the ledge normal, who then had to roll a new character.
Things started off well with me getting the first kill on Hillock and everything went smooth from thereon - ending with me hitting level 33 30 seconds before the end of the race.

Unfortunately I forgot to count the orb reward, so I can't tell if it was any different from 32 :-(.

Finding the following gear certainly helped us, weapons and gloves are insane for a 3h race:

Watching the devmoon end of the race was so much fun, I wish they incentived me more for reaching certain areas as oppose to grinding the same area for level. It's more fun and risky in my opinion.

Races to see how far you get in the content would make some sick streams ;)

Redcin (4th ranger 13th overall), proudofmyrace (2nd witch 10th overall), and myself (2nd duelist, 11th overall) were a group.

It was all of our first time in a group race, we're all pretty new overall. We picked a boring strategy and stuck to it (a somewhat slow and steady act 1 run then about 100 minutes farming western forest)

Pretty boring strategy I know...

Results better than expected though.

Race went almost perfect- 6/6 demigods and every important run / battle went exactly as planned. Only 2 minor issues were our duelist getting instagibbed by a blue skeleton pack on norm ledge (caught back up before we reached a2) and me locking myself out of the alira battle due to deciding to town for flask refills at the last minute (duo'd her in under 30 seconds right after).

Dropwise we had plenty of orbs and enough scrolls, and gear was solid all round (late-joining witch addition aside). A few minor desyncs and one major where the great nothing in pools dropped me to 1/3 before i bailed, but such a bail has no cost when partied so it was essentially meaningless overall.

Feedback:

- That damn loot timer. So awful when playing with players who work together- just an arbitrary time waster that accomplishes nothing. Please come up with some way for us to disable it, at least for races.

- The move-only feature isnt purely move-only. It wont open chests surrounded by monsters, wont pick up items surrounded by monsters and will run to monsters or kick urns when i just want to keep moving. Feels only partially implimented atm- an optional toggle that requires alt to be pressed for non-move actions (picking up items, interacting with other entities, targeting things etc) or something similar would work well here.

That's something that I like about the move only feature.
I hope they keep it this way or at least enable an option to toggle loot clicks etc.
