Will the new flask *really* work with cast when damage taken?

Chris said in the teaser for 1.0.1 that the new flask (which deals chaos damage to you when used) might have some interactions with "Cast when damage taken". Is this really true, though?
I doubt caustic flasks work with it now, and righteous fire/blood rage etc... certainly don't, so I'd be surprised if this new flask did too. Face it, all of your suggestions are worse than this idea:

Caustic flasks don't work because they don't deal damage. This flask deals chaos damage when you use it, and will work with Cast when Damage Taken.

Also, wow. Does that mean it will also work with 'increased damage' modifiers? Can you shock yourself with this flask if using Voltaxic Rift and static blows? Your modifiers won't apply to the damage since it's not considered to be you dealing it.

Correct. "Attacker" modifiers won't apply because you aren't dealing the damage, but "defender" modifiers will apply since you are taking it.
