Petrov's Ranger Build: Lightning Strike or Reave+Abyssus+Lightning Coil+EB+MoM+VP

Not sure if someone else has pointed this out but you can level support gems linked with CoDT (Increased Duration for example) all the way to 20 since only skill gems must be kept at the same level.

When would you guys recommend to pick up Vaal Pact? Right now I feel like it makes me weaker since I often have to pop life flasks. I guess while my dps is this low Vaal Pact doesn't make any sense. Is there any breakpoint?

He said somewhere in this thread that you should probably pick it up after level 70.

Hey I'm tryin this build on Nemesis and I'm lvl 74

my gear:



I have 3k hp, 1400 mp and dps is 8k and I have been successfully doin lvl 66-67-68-69-70 maps with no problems (plain white maps not rolled just to see as far as I could go)

I still have to take alot of the dps nodes (prioritizing survivability playin an hardcore league) but damage is fine and when I crit I one shot all the white mobs and bi shot the rares

Op updated for my current version of the build, which is Reave based. I loved LS too, but Reave DPS is more physical and less elemental than LS, which feels more effective to me. Also, some of my map mates hated the LS spam - Reave is a lot more visually subtle!

A little too visually subtle for my tastes. But I suppose it could be fun if your gear is really good.

Ha! No, Flicker isn't linked to CWDT - it's a stand alone 3 link: flicker-MPD-ECoS. I use it as a distance closer given Reaves very short range in its first stage (esp with Conc Eff). I find Flicker to be really, really helpful in making sure youre right next to your first enemy when you start reaving.

Or you could link increased area of effect to the reave :P

It cancels out.
