I had the joy of playing an MMO with a single dedicated server at launch before. As neat as this one looks, I may be moving on if they're hardware limited.

Well,... First of all, it is a limited test and before the 0.9.3 announcement there were around 100-120 beta testers online at any given time. I say beta testers and not players, because this is what we all should be doing ^^. I am sure that some "players" left the beta test and will be back as soon as 0.9.3 is there as 0.9.2 does not give enough content to play it for, lets say, 42 days straight.... oO

Lag is rarely an issue, but it does not seem to be hardware related, more SW issues that need to be ironed out before the release (player enters area, big item drops,...). Overall, this game has less lag already now than some of the final products I had the pleasure to buy and play over the last couple of years.

And last, I would be concerned for GGG IF they had a server set up right now that supported 500,000 players when all they are doing is running a beta test. That would be a waste of money. And if there is one thing I am not concerned about is that they "forgot" that they need bigger servers at some point. So I would not be worried.

Timezones are a bitch.... =)
