The Xequi Challenge! (Win 20 Chaos) Level 1-69 in less than 10h34m11s
Hmmm seeing s how my 80 ripped in a untimely manner, it took me 4 days, im not sure how much play time I actually had sooo.
I accept your challenge, im going to start between 6-7 pm eastern. Ill keep my progress updated in this htread as im going to play for 11 straight hours. Thought im not quite sure of your method, all I can imagine is you are RUSHING to the leveling zones and joining groups when they are ALMOST completed with their quests required to progress. Either way, we shall see. It is very impressive. Invasion - No Sacrifice No Glory

You sound like an elitist show off without modesty.
I'd never get there that fast as I always run into trolls that slow me down. Crap, I keep seeing a troll every time I look into my Mirror of Kalandra. That damn troll always scares the bejesus out of me and I lose focus and can't level up as fast. Sigh! "You've got to grind, grind, grind at that grindstone..." Necessity may be the mother of invention, but poor QoP in PoE is the father of frustration. " It isn't that. But presumably your time is hard to beat that is why you posted a reward. So, someone has to make quite an effort to be able to beat it and go out of his/her way. For me, 20 chaos, that is not enough incentive. I'd rather take my sweeet time. :) But hopefully someone takes you up on your offer. Last edited by Warmey#4835 on Nov 10, 2013, 7:58:58 PM

Well, after dying twice (and losing quite a bit of currency, unfortunately). I made it to merciless in 5h54min. This is my best attempt, but it's not anywhere near close enough to your speed. Was completely solo except for rush after Piety (Dominus kills + not running sceptr), I just didn't want to risk it & he's a pain.
I don't really think that I have a hope of getting to 69 fast enough though, as this character is only level 46 (missed that on SS) :P @Moylin (Beyond) Last edited by Avelice#3926 on Nov 10, 2013, 8:41:44 PM

" This, I'm really interested in knowing how you level so quick. |
|
" 6 hours to merciless is a pretty good time, but based on the skill you are using I can already tell that your clearspeed is not going to be efficient enough to beat the time :P @IGN: Xequi

" Not knowing the method is where the fun comes in :) I used to think tic-tac-toe was a fun game as a child, but once you realized that the person who makes the first move can never lose if he plays it right, it becomes boring :P @IGN: Xequi Last edited by Xequi#6856 on Nov 11, 2013, 4:28:51 AM

" There really isn't much to it; simply skip the optional quests, progress when you can do it without an xp penalty. Act 1 mandatory quests: Mud Flats, Brutus, Merevil. Act 2 mandatory quests: Weaver, Sins, Roots, Bandits, Vaal. Act 3 mandatory quests: Clarissa, Tolman, Open Sewers (But not busts), Docks, Battlefront, Solaris, Talc, Piety, Scepter of God unlock, Dominus. Normal through Cruel you likely will not want to grind anything; just progress. As far as choosing a place to grind when plausible, the following rule applies: You want to Grind Catacombs > Sarn > River Crossings > Ledge in that exact order. If you reach the next zone and you are in the xp penalty range, you want to grind the previous zone until you are not. The formula for xp penalty is 3 levels + 1 every 16 levels. In other words, you will want to go to Catacombs at level 61, since you will be 6 levels behind the level 67 zone. Other than that.. just clear fast :) I've been able to project, with my current clearspeed grinding only Catacombs to 100, the amount of time it will take you playing 8 hours a day to various level milestones (I will not be doing this, but I find it interesting as the only player on HC to reach 100, SirBaker, did it in a hairlength less than 8 months.) In other words, 1 day = 8 hours, 1 month = 30 days, 1 year = 12 months. 1-80: 2 days, 4 hours, 46 minutes. 1-85: 7 days, 5 hours, 50 minutes. 1-90: 1 month, 2 days, 2 hours, 30 minutes. 1-95: 3 months, 23 days, 3 hours, 8 minutes. 1-100: 8 months, 5 days, 3 hours, 8 minutes. This is based on my current clearspeed and xp/rates in catacombs, and takes into account all xp gain and penalty variations. It is interesting to see that the changes GGG made to non-map areas actually makes it possible to make it to 100 outside of maps as fast (if not faster) than SirBaker. This is because of the added xp gain floor of 2%; making levels 93+ more efficient than before in Catacombs. Thanks for reading! I hope this will help you level somewhat faster and also show you the light at the end of the tunnel; even if you don't enjoy the risk of maps :) @IGN: Xequi Last edited by Xequi#6856 on Nov 11, 2013, 4:30:10 AM

Really impressive time OP. I'm probably going to give this a try as I've already figured out a lot when it comes to speed levelling (a favourite pasttime of mine).
So, just to clarify, can we use all available stash? I assume so as there is no legit way to tell otherwise. So this is a case of having the necessary gear available for each level-milestone? Uniques @ level 1 etc? Thanks Just for try for see and for know -2013!
