(Rolling very hard map mods to sustain a pool, investing lots of currency in it and organizing their own groups for it)

Personally i run piety etc. most of the time, and even though the motivation at a shot at one of the uber uniqes has gone, it has been more then outweighed by the fact that piety etc. drop alot more now.

Please dont give into the whinders in this thread GGG,beeing difficult and unforgiving is literally THE THING that seperates this game from all others.

Some people will alyways bitch and whine when something gets harder to reach, they don't care about whats best for the game at all, only abou their perosnal advancement.

- To the people talking bullshit that they will never be able to get one of those uniques...Well if you choose to do easy content forever you can still accumulate lots of wealth to buy them.

protip: Some if the most valuable uniques and great rares still drop outside of highlevel maps.

It i very much possible to reach high level monsters solo btw, and you dont need to play 10h a day at all if youre jut capable of running very hard mods and your spec doesnt suck.

First off, rolling maze + champions/hordes, two SUPER easy mods, will give you a much better chance at another map drop than any other combinations of mods.

Secondly, this game isn't hard. It requires an extremely small amount of skill to play effectively. The game is just a gear/build check. It just happens to be very addictive.

Why we need this restriction?

Can you disclose the population for player has access to 76 77 map? then we can figure what is this for?

I really am not happy to tell this...but after reading this "news" I can't fucking wait for Blizzcon as well as Diablo III: Reaper of Souls expansion.

Disappointing that the patch notes for 1.0 did not mention the changes to chancing rare uniques.

I just wonder how many chances/scours were wasted on items which could never roll unique.

makes perfect sense.

According to your account, you've never even made it to endgame. I really don't see why you think your uninformed opinion matters.

I agree with Witt. Feel free to look at my account page btw.

I can tell You what the problem is:
Trading is retarded. You spend hours in town talking to lazy people who do not respond/annoy you, are insulting or wasting Your time by offering bullshit.
Not everyone has a 6-player-group, and not everyone has one that is willing to devote 50% plus time on trading and streaming to be able to sell every little midlevel item for a couple chaos.
Have You ever tried to sell a 800 armor 80 life 2 resist chest for 3-4 chaos on trade chat? It takes DAYS! to do that.
And you cant get rich by crafting anymore. Because chances dont work now.

If you tried to sell a 800 armor 80 life 2 resist chest for 3-4 chaos for DAYS, then you're doing it wrong. Quick trade is better than wasting time trying to get that extra couple chaos on a mediocre item. And crafting is definitely not just about chancing stuff. You ever had the doubt that maybe trading/crafting didn't work was because your strategy was wrong?

You don't need to group or trade to make it to high level maps. It will take longer, but is entirely feasible.

You can make it there, but you can NOT sustain it without trade or groups. You simply do NOT get enough currency drops to roll the maps well enough constantly.

What happens if you dont have that currency is eventually you drop back down to 70 and under maps and spend hundreds of hours pushing your way back up to run 3-4 77/8s and then back down you go.

Its painful enough without knowing I cant even get the best unique drops along the way.

Also, I would just like to point out that 77 maps, at least, are not really any harder than 70 ones once your characters reach 80kish dps everything just dies /shrug.

That's an oversimplification.

Andvarius, for example, is not the best ring in the game. While it can have the highest rarity roll, in some instances, a fantastically rolled gold ring could be overall better even if it doesn't offer as much rarity.

Gating uniques behind maps is unimaginative, nobody complains about the best rares only being available in the highest level maps because it makes sense with how rares work.
