1.0.0f Patch and Data about League Distributions and Map-only Uniques
You know what? I'm sorry, I've been at this for a year and never had anything "epic" or "godly" drop. I had to just grind forever and I finally 6L that and spend everything I make grinding to try and chance that. Eternals+scour and chance.
Now it was just a waste. This was a huge blow to me, I regret supporting this game now. These changes to the game kill it for me, I'm sorry, but that's fucking stupid. Having content locked off from players based on RNG is such an absurdly stupid design. just to clarify, i think map only drops are fine to filter out some of the "offending" uniques but mid to high 70s is much too high in my opinion.

Whelp... color me unimpressed from the ridiculously high ilvl requirements on the now new RMT items, as well as the knee-jerk reaction to cast on damage taken. I guess premiering the gem in the build of the week video was just done to generate pre-launch hype and I can only hope it doesn't get violated too hard.
At least now I know not to waste anymore chance orbs on glorious plates or occultist vestments. :/ Disappointment aside, thank you for releasing the numbers Chris. |

Personally not really a fan of the change with how maps function currently. You pretty much need to be extremely lucky to reach a high enough map level to get the chance to be extremely lucky to get these uniques. If it were more reliable to acquire the map levels necessary to get these uniques then I feel the change would make more sense.
I am also not a fan of having to know arbitrary item level requirements prior to attempting to chance uniques. There really is no way for a player to know what the requirements are beforehand with this new system, especially given the high number of chance orbs needed to successfully roll a unique. Previously you simply needed to know the base item type, which was clearly stated in the unique item name and did not require any second-guessing if you are just wasting your entire stockpile of currency items. I think it'd make more sense to still be able to chance these uniques via any item level of the correct base type, but have the chance of rolling the unique be higher for higher item levels. This way people aren't wasting their currency, can still try to chance things like before, but are given some incentive to go for higher item levels as well. That said, I feel like some people here are seriously over-reacting to all of this. The item level requirement on a few uniques was increased by 3-10 item levels: this obviously doesn't warrant making outrageous claims about GGG promoting RMT or that the game is destroyed.
