You are correct about attack speed. I think I have no other APS buffs other than mentioned by you :).

As for skill tree progression. I could make one, but later. Just for general directions, go for Resolute Technique first and then take Duelist nodes (if you are a Marauser) or Marauder nodes otherwise. Then take shield block nodes, then everything else. Add life nodes when you feel you need more life. Go bottom Marauder-Duelist route and take Blood Drinker node if you don't have a good ring with life leech. This should work on softcore.

Using a different build but having great results with Facebreaker BoR Lioneye's Remorse and Frenzy as a main attack.


I got the LR cheap and I don't have the energy shield boots to support Aegis.


Frenzy is my main attack, using Hatred and Purity run off mana for max dps and 80 res all.

Yes, that's a very strong build. I just tried Aurora because I had it from time when it cost 4 exalt max.

Don't forget that you can use another cheap unique shield on swap for caster packs and bosses (and Dominus phase 2):



It should be cheap and give you cap spell block(!) and 85 all resists(!). If you use it on caster bosses and swap melee splash gem for life leech it will give amazing results :).

I have a now 45 duelist whom I am levelling casually as frenzy to see what 7 frenzy charges and boots like these can do :).

With the emphasis on blocking and the block proc stuff you use in think build, what do you think of the Anvil amulet? With attack speed increase of Multistrike, the reduced attack speed doesn't seem that bad. The Rainbow Striders kind of offset the movement speed decrease, unless you rely extremely heavily on how fast you can move. But all the extra block bonuses seem like they'd make the build even tankier than it is now. But I suppose you would lose the 50% spell block chance that the current ammy has.

Hi, I saw this amulet but did not test it as I got some life and a DPS boost from a good rare amulet which already seemed enough in terms of physical defence.

So you are right that the main point is spell block which increases defence against spells, so overall defence looks more balanced. The Anvil opton is more focused on physical defence, leaving spell defence a bit lacking.

And spell block amulet has 30 intelligence which is needed for Purity, for example.
