It is quite simple to test it quickly by your own. If the minions are still alive after the change of chest piece, it works. As for the stats, they are kept on the summoned minions, no matter what gems you change after you have raised them, except the raise minion gem itself of course. You can see the status effects on the mini portrait when in a zone other than a town (for example, I have the letters M, d, n when I use Minion life, minion resistance and multistrike).

These letters disapear (atleast for me) when i go to town, to switch my chest piece and go out again. Either way, its easy to check if the effect stays, equip a multistrige gem (or anything els obvius), summon the minion, go to town switch, go out n see if hes still "multistriking".

And yes, you can equip a tabula rasa, raise a 6L spectre, go to town equip & equip your random chest piece aslong as you bring the gem.

and as jplays said before:

Hi everbody,

i am realy new to summoners, but i tried out this build.

But it doent work for me and i need help to get it word...:-)

What do is going in Ledge and kill 5 Monsters. Then i use the Hammer and make them Zombies...
But my Zombies dont do damage... they get killed by the Ledge-Monsters in 5 Seconds...

Why?
Wrong Items, wrong Gems or whats wrong?

wrong gems. you shall level your zombie and spectre gems to ~15 lvl. then try to repeat.

Lvl 5 gem ... Thats your problem.... Zombies SUCK until around lvl 15 at the earliest. You also need to lvl up the rest of your gems every little bit makes a HUGE difference.


I'd personally take two of the lower HP nodes out and finish your aura nodes first. With lvl 15/16 gems + all the minion related and buff type nodes you can do piety easy.

As a summoner you can afford to use your weapon slot for resistances + high level Purity of Elements aura.

Also some advice, you should actually read guides before starting to follow them. :)

Here's my gear and doing lvl 66 maps quite easily already:



Queen's Degree is for snapshotting and leveling gems obviously. :)

Oh ye, almost lvl 74 now. Doing 66 maps and piety until I get one more level for my minion gems and then I'll ante up the difficulty.
