Are you not running Purity of elements? And you do run the BM's with minion resist gem right?

Current gear gives me max (80) resists on Merciless, so I don't run Purity nor use minion resists gem, cause I thought there's no need to go over max. Guess I'll have to kite a little during cold phase.

I'll try that with instant healing + apply to minions. Currently I'm using +minions flasks but not instant.

There's no chaos damage in Lunaris but I have taken this node too as I like to do some 6x maps from time to time :)

re-read guide, do what it tells you to do
P.s.: if you have 80% resist yourself, it means you haven't taken necromantic aegis either.

I didn't write that I have 80% resist myself, only that gear gives me max resist on Merci and thus when I switch to NA, I'm sure that my minions get 80% res all. Also I wrote in my previous post that I use NA, so I've certainly read your guide with more attention than you've read my posts... NVM, it seems that I just have to be patient, level minion gems (lvl 17 now) and get more armor.

Your shield gives 80% resistance to all elements? Is there such kind of shield? You knew that with necromantic aegis, only your shield stats apply to your minions, right?

And isn't the max resistance at 75% with this build or did I miss something? Atleast for the minions the max resist is 75% as there is no passive to up the maximums for the minions. Only the purity of "element" (ice/fire/lightning) auras can rise the max res.

Got to lvl 65 now, switched to full culling arc now and if I am careful, I can already farm in the docks with BM's. Trying to clear my way out to merc Lunaris temple now to get higher lvl BM's. Cruel lunaris BM's have been my victims so far for now. :)

You can start the summoner transition at lvl 60 already and as said, at lvl 65 the summoner build begins to be quite solid, only needing a little caring. It's lovely to see when the BM's fires up, everything just melts away.

I've been farming Piety since level 62-63, but my Minion and Raise Zombie are ~10-14 Quality, which may have been a big help.

I have had not enough money for the saffel's so saddly, I'm stuck with just angelic kite shield for now :(

I'm level 58 atm, farming Ledge Merc. all goes well with Inf. Blow... I'm now investing points in minions. Guess at 70 I'll have most of the passives to equip your final Piety build. Had no help from anyone on the road to merc. ... did all the bosses alone, really nice leveling guide... fast one too.

Apparently my mistake was to not fully understand minion mechanics. I assumed that they inherit my 75% resists when I summon them, which is not true and I based everything on wrong assumption. That's epic fail from me.
