I really dont understand how people get 7k+ dps with EK... I'm running all the appropriate gems + hatred and level 20 EK and only have 3.7k dps at lvl 76... I look at their gear and it doesn't seem much better at all.
Also how the hell do you get so much armor at that? I barely have 4.5k, I can't see your base armor cause you inflated it with molten shell and endurance charges, but I imagine its still higher with your low armor gear (I'm running grace and IR)... What am I missing? |

Hi guys I converted my previously lightning arrow Marauder to this and I'm loving the tankyness.
However I've been leveling Cast on Damage, Enduring Cry, Molten Shell, and Decoy Totem on this 4L helm and it was working for a while but now it doesn't for some reason. Pretty sure they changed Cast on Damage taken to where you have to level it so that the minimum level on CoDT has to be equivalent for the skills it is linked to. For example, a level 1 CoDT is level 31, but you skill gems are 46,39 and 40.

Armor wise I end up about 6k with grace and if I feel like going extra tanky or am playing in a party where hatred is being run I get over 10k with grace and determination. Switching to a 5 link for faster casting is huge with this build imo and anything that happens to come with % damage leeched as life helps incredibly with tankiness. It did seem that ek gets much larger scaling late game around lvl 17, 18. Basically, I thought the damage was too low as well when i was around level 60 but into the late 70's it really jumps off becomes less of an issue. I was thinking of doing staff with spell power, cast speed and +1 to gems and link it with empower for lower level maps, what do you think about that?

Saffell as main shield ... big no no. Its a good swap vs piety / megaera tho

" thank you for posting. Two wands is probably the biggest reason for your damage in this case, which is a no-go on hardcore. Other than that, cast speed seems to help a lot on rings/amulets. Once I get more currency i'll try to get my hand on some. I think crit is risky with reflect and there's no real point in not going all the way with it. |
