I have yet to find a better combination than spark + fork on totem. People are talking now about incinerate, I don't know... I'm also curious if it beats the clear speed of spork.

Leveling as this build now, working out amazingly with dual spork and lightning trap+multi trap.

It was semi slow for a while but I'm 47 atm and am clearing faster than my lmp spectral throw character that breezed through to 76.

I used a classic CI dual spork in beta and when I came back for release I noticed the spark nerfs and the arc buffs. I started a dual totel arc witch and I am quite happy with her so far (only lvl 42).

What do you think about Arc Vs Spark? I love the range of arc and the damage seems reasonable but I have no exp with it at endgame.

Any advice?

I'm currently running a tri totem arc build with multi lightning trap. Only 49 right now, but seems to be working well. My gear is trash right now, and I will probably switch from the spidersilk to shavs if I eventually find one (although haven't looked at the values since the nerf, so may end up going ci.) Really enjoying arc so far on the totems, but will have to see how it fairs in end game.

Build so far:


How I plan to finish (similar to yours, but with a few twists):


5L: Arc, IIR, Light Pen, Faster Casting, Ele Prolif (Will use cull in groups, have to use spell totem if I get rid of soul mantle)
4L: Lightning Trap, Lightning Pen, Multi Trap, ALD

You say you tweaked auras until you maintained LL state. Can you give some more details? I've tried juggling reduced mana gems but still can't sustain LL.

With Purity and Discipline cast with Blood Magic, my life is 102/683. ES is 3313. Not sure what I'm doing wrong here.

Does anyone have the math behind maintaining LL as of 1.0?

Before this nerf patch I have seen somebody using incenerate, he had about 100 iiq and 400 iir. His killspeed was amazing in 70+ maps. Unfortunatly I didn't add him to my friendlist, so I can't ask him anymore about the build and items.

I am using Arc now, I have changed it with my Spark gem. I have Lightning penetration + faster casting + arc + spell totem + iir gem + iiq gem. And all the gems are on quality 20% expect the Spelltotem. I have modified the build a bit and Im doing 1350 dps for the moment. I would say that spark is still a little bit better then Arc, but I think I will keep Arc, cause this skill makes so much fun :)


The big pain in the ass of this build is the must have of a Shavronne if you want to do maps. Dock runs makes no more sense now, because you can't find your shavronne anymore in the docks.
You can only do maps without Chaos damage, the bad thing is that a lot of maps have chaos damage or monsters which deal chaos damage. You will be 1 shotted everytime, it is just annoying.

I am playing domination league now with a Explosiv Arrow Marauder, you can play this build on iir/iiq but without low life.

A friend of mine was talking about a Power Siphon build on low life and iir/iiq. Maybe I will give it a try.
